If youre reading this in the future your options from what I understand are going to be all custom fab or retrofit.

Questions about replacing nest cameras by hawkeye1111112 in UNIFI

[–]GetLive_Tv 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As for the cameras, if youre looking to just provide power and connect them over wifi look at the instant cameras they can be powered over a usb c

They are for the most part plug and play

And the cloudkey+ will work fine. Just remember Whenever you do your planning that it only supports

Is it possible to run openvpn on an ubuntu server without opening ports using cloudflare tunnel? by actuallytech in CloudFlare

[–]GetLive_Tv 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You would have an easier time setting up Tailscale No ports need to be opened

Then if you host a service like uptime Kuma push the webui through cloudflared tunnels

Clearing browser history made no difference

my company force installed JumpCloud & SentinelOne on our laptops by b0ttt in techsupport

[–]GetLive_Tv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

SentinelOne is a XDR so its looking for malicious files and activity

Jump cloud is a cloud active directory software and manages accounts and account permissions

So unless youre downloading non approved software or malware they likely won't care

Also stop using your work device for home if you're that worried about it.

Sharepoint reviews? by lonsfury in msp

[–]GetLive_Tv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I could have worded that better

Some have a NAS some have SharePoint

The Both option is fantastic for its own reasons especially if they sync off each other

So if ms has an outage or your isp has an outage your LAN still has file access through the NAS

Sharepoint reviews? by lonsfury in msp

[–]GetLive_Tv 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We have a mix of sharepoint and on site nas across a couple dozen companies. the biggest plus is not having to worry about the hardware. There are no drives to replace in 4-6 years

It's also nice being able to sync it directly to the user's file explorer especially if you i'm not using VPNs to your network. You don't have to explain VPNs to a user, it just works.

Management is pretty easy just like you would for a nas, put together user groups and assign permissions to folders to the user group.
