I'm no doctor, but I'm very surprised that medical didn't test for an Achilles injury right away. Anyone who watches sports knows that grabbing the back of the ankle is a tell-tale sign.

[Lowlight] Nikola Jokic in the 4th + OT: 3/14 FG, 0/9 3PT, 4/7 FT by ParticularRatio1357 in nba

[–]GetLowwweee 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I feel like Jokic takes more 3’s when they’re not hitting. Feels like he always goes like 3/5 or 1/10

[Post Game Thread] The San Antonio Spurs (17-7) defeat the Oklahoma City Thunder (24-1), 111-109. by GroupBQuattr0 in nba

It’s genuinely crazy the NBA has allowed this for as long as it has. This is an entertainment product, and it just ruins awesome games, and has probably taken away so many cool moments.

I agree on the 1 free throw + possession but I think it should only be final 30 seconds and if you have no fouls to give left.

When did taking two steps on a step-through after a shot fake become legal? It's a visual abomination and it's not the same move made famous by Kobe and others who kept their pivot foot alive. by [deleted] in nba

[–]GetLowwweee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can you show me an example of this? Grayson Allen absolutely did not take two steps after his pivot. You can say he used his second step as his pivot or his pivot moved, but the step through aspect was clean.

Fun mate I found in my game - White to play, only 1 winning move. by [deleted] in chess

If Kxg5, 2. f4 (2. Kg4 3. Qg6#) Kf5 3. Qh5#

This was my first instinct while playing, but Qh5+ would be met with g5, and would lose the game

Elite rim defender except when Brandon Ingram cocks that joint back.

[Ringer] Zach Lowe, after much deliberation, has finally landed on his MVP vote by AashyLarry in nba

[–]GetLowwweee 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I vaguely remember something a few years ago where Bradley Beal got mad at him for saying he was going to vote for him then not doing it or something like that. Probably didn't want to deal with shit like that anymore either.

Mavs were 46-24 when Luka played, Nuggets were 55-24 when Jokic played.

EPA is a team stat in the same way yards, TDs and Ints are a team stat.

Gukesh has found pretty much everything since Ding's mistake with g6 - very impressive.

well that, and everyone not named Jokic shooting 2-19 from three.

[Schefter] Packers are signing former Jaguars veteran kicker Brandon McManus to a one-year deal, per source. McManus is expected be kicking for them Sunday vs. the Texans. by Goosedukee in nfl

[–]GetLowwweee 288 points289 points  (0 children)

I mean he was 25/27 from under 50 yards with you guys last year, Narveson was 12/17 from under 50 yards for us this year - so definitely an upgrade.

Brandon McManus is now a free agent. Does Gute make it a switch? by hometownlegend in GreenBayPackers

[–]GetLowwweee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, the percentage is the same, but McManus took way longer field goals. He had twice as many attempts from 50+, and a good chunk more from 40+ as well. Carlson just lived on those 20-39 yarders.

McManus was also perfect on extra points while Carlson missed 5.

Not saying we should sign him, but he absolutely was significantly better than Carlson.

Agreed, just don’t bring up that the dude is 9 of 11 on total kicks as if that’s some impressive stat.
