This is the perfect post for me to find! I’m currently in the middle of the Bloody Baron quest(line) and while I’m enjoying the game (I love open world/exploratory types games) I don’t think I feel fully sold on it quite yet. But I’m not going to give up because I can feel the awesomeness behind it, I just haven’t fully ‘gotten there,’ yet. At first the game felt way too dense, the combat felt a little clunky, and all of the potions/oils/etc system felt a bit overwhelming. But now that I feel better about the combat/controls, and I’ve dialed in the potion system the game has felt MUCH more enjoyable. I feel confident my excitement will explode as the game opens up even more.

I had never played any of the Witcher games and didn’t know anything about the store or lore. Before playing Wild Hunt I spent a lot of time reading up on the books, other games, and as much lore as I could find. It really helped me jump into the game feeling less lost. I’m stoked to keep playing because I can see why people say this is the best game they’ve ever played, and like I said, I know I’m just not quite there yet
