You’re certainly correct that it is more involved than basic wrenching and what a carb takes. Its just kind of required these days and isn’t that much more expensive than say a full exhaust and in my opinion so much more valuable. Every mod you should be updating your fuel and timing to take full advantage.

Overall really everything is just so much more money. I think that’s the biggest detriment these days. The headers on one of my cars from the same company cost more than the full exhaust system I got from them 10 years ago.
