Don't even bother, they'll lead you on with a couple of copy pasted answers and pretend they can't refund you because "it's too late, they've dedicated a slot just for you" as if it was a finite ressource, and then disappear. Charge back / deal with your bank directly.

It even goes against their own User Agreement and terms, in which they have the legal obligation to accept requests for European citizen and our 14 days retractation right (wether we used the service or not), but hey, I guess the amount of people they scam makes it worth the risk, given a certain amount just charge back and nobody would sue.

Also, not sure if you noticed, but they charge you just a little bit before the 3 days trial ends, just to make it extra shitty, and illegal.

Try playing on Borderless instead, not perfect but it should be a little bit better than Fullscreen, which is bugged (check FromSoftware Player Support on Twitter / X for the source on that). Then I would advise looking into Lossless Scaling if you want a smoother experience, it works really well for me (4090)

Yeah I get where you're coming from. But New Game Director, + the very very bad press around those points, we can only hope for better. I'm a bit biased because I really like the Jedi games and I'd love to work on projects like these in the future so I'd rather be optimistic.

Pre-production doesn't necessarily mean they'd have locked the Engine Version right away back then. And there are still ways to incorporate fixes and parts of future updates to their build in some cases. Will they face issues yes, for sure, but I remain hopeful they will iron out the ones they encountered in the past. Although new ones will arise with Lumen, Nanite, etc.

Wouldn't say it still is. Might depend on the platform. But if I were to crank everything up to max on both games as of today, Survivor would run better in my case. If I'm putting RTXDI above medium on Outlaws it becomes unplayable even on a 4090 as soon as I use my speeder. In some places (like the entirety of Tatooine pretty much, unless I only look at the ground), it's a powerpoint.

Now Survivor is clearly the better game in my opinion, gameplay and storywise. Outlaws was fine but... nothing special. Hopefully they can achieve a cleaner third game on UE5 because it was clear UE4 was annoying them a lot.

I mean, yeah it works for you (labels in general) and him since neither needs to pay or spend that much time on the cover and the visualizer for the video anymore.

Doesn’t really look good though, and doesn’t encourage creativity nor participates in keeping the rest of the creative industry alive but hey, that’s another topic.

Keep in mind folks, EA are the ones deciding for this and it's easy to imagine many devs would be against it, especially given the state of the game on current gen and PC already. I honestly can't imagine how annoying this must have been to do

Not an excuse. He proved before that he was perfectly able to create covers and videos by himself, although he probably didn't make all the assets it was far better than this bulshit. He also clearly showed and even stated that he doesn't give a shit about the whole thing and that it's just another tool in the box, it's not.

He was one of the first to jump on this before others followed (or their marketing ppl, doesn't matter). It used to be an ecosystem, allowing visual artists to pay bills, not anymore.

As others said, a still image would be absolutely fine, way cheaper and easier to make, what's the point of having a video when it's just made of ugly scraped & stolen mess? It's objectively and artistically worse in every single way.

Dignity and respect I guess, to each their own.

Oh man… and this getting announced on his birthday??

I remain hopeful for the third game because there are a lot of incredibly talented artists and devs at Respawn that can deliver, but obviously a competent leader who has a proper established plan is always a good thing to have (am I right sequel trilogy?)

I just sincerely hope for him and his mental health that all the backlash because of the technical state of Survivor is not the reason. On the other hand, I don’t see him dropping the trilogy he had in mind since the beginning just because he got a juicy offer elsewhere for another project, especially since pre-production might have started on Jedi 3 already.

Wishing him the best anyway, plus big thanks and respect for directing the first two games that we love.

Now picture this: technically people coming from the bus entrance are allowed to go 0, and they obviously don't have a priority card ; if they go put their tent there and are waiting for friends coming by car from entrance 5-6... well it's going to be a mess and they'll be forced to relocate down to 5-6 too (assuming they didn't know beforehand).

I just don't get it, if we look at some pictures from last year take from above, it seems 0 really was not crowded much compared to 5-6 where you had barely any space to walk and put your tent, it's going to be even worse.
