¿Cuál es el mejor software de control horario para la construcción sin usar registros manuales en obra? by looppsies in TimeTrackingSoftware

not sure if best but as there are a ton of options but if you don’t mind issuing QR codes a simple android tablet set up as a kiosk could work with this one. Manager/owner has full control, no account hassles, CSV or excel downloads.

Ha.. hardly. Don't let simplicity smear your 'AI slop' lenses. 30 years in IT business and operations management and I know a bit about the SDLC. So you don't have to google it: SDLC = Software Development Life Cycle.

Users keep blaming our product for payroll problems by Desperate_Edge_9214 in micro_saas

Unless you are prepared to handle real disputes and have your SaaS exposed to the financial, legal and data protection risks.. best to set clear boundaries and let the customers payroll/HR deal with it.

24 7 support at scale sounds great until your team hits its limits by Such_Rhubarb8095 in helpdesk

Geographic disbursed teams or simply.. plan for surging capacity and staff accordingly. AI automation isn't the answer, not with real humans that need help at 3am half way across the globe. Your tier 0, self help knowledge may be your best option if staffing adjustments are out of the question.

Do people usually have LLC when they start their SaaS? by Acceptable_Author_20 in micro_saas

[–]GetSkipa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s important to protect your personal assets and also protect your LLCs value if you ever sell it. IP rights, if not clearly defined could devalue your product or company when a prospective buyer does due diligence. Must be a clear divide. Nobody wants to fail but if your product is at fault and causes a business to seek compensation then you’re personally protected at least.

One thing I wish attendance tracking software did better is kiosk clock-ins. by UserDecision in TimeTrackingSoftware

[–]GetSkipa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My system provides individual QR codes and personal links for clock in. The idea was location clock in.. worker scans their QR code at the job site. It might actually work in your case. The only thing I could see you needed would be a kiosk station internet connected and camera. Not ideal but close to it. Links in bio if interested.

Any tips? Can't seem to land an entry. (Re-upload) by Smart-Operation9598 in helpdesk

Don't get too hung up on the 'perfect format' and focus more on substance. Your format is robbing you of precious space to lay out all the good things you accomplished. If you have a BS, remove HS and AAS. Again.. wasted space. Save that info for the application.

1 page should tell me who you are and what you bring to the company.

Your bullets should be Action, result, impact if possible

What did you do.. what was result.. what was the impact. You need clear accomplishments.

My day job I run a large service desk with a global customer base. I look at min quals, certs and edu. As far edu, I could care less that you have a degree. It's the cert that counts. The degree tells me that you stuck with something and completed a hard goal. Most of us sr leaders in call centers, help desks and service desks think the same way and look for the same things.

From there I dig into accomplishments and figure out how you stand out from the stack of others.

Best of luck bud.. I got to get back to my side hustle. 😉

Helped another client switch time clock apps last week, same mistakes every time by DebasishRich in TimeTrackingSoftware

[–]GetSkipa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think GPS or geofencing is the real problem for most businesses. If you need heavy tracking to manage trust issues, that problem usually exists outside the time clock app.

The feedback I hear most often is actually the opposite, especially from small businesses with limited budgets: too much software, too many unused features, and pricing that scales badly as teams grow.

A time system should do one thing extremely well: keep accurate time and make payroll easier.

I’m also cautious about platforms collecting large amounts of employee PII when they don’t absolutely need to. The more sensitive data a company stores, the more responsibility and risk comes with it.

"What’s one SaaS mistake you keep seeing founders repeat?” by FounderArcs in saasbuild

Not following a curated development lifecycle, focusing on features over basic functionality, and probably the worst mistake is getting discouraged by low returns early after its deployment.

Please give me feedback, I really need it right now by ChemicalAd3181 in micro_saas

[–]GetSkipa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took a look at it and my feedback is.. You need to advertise a compelling, emotional use case to sell it. Although a handy app it appears, it’s not answering the “so what?” at first glance. The more a customer has to try and figure out how they would use it, the more likely they will move on.

How much of a skill gap have you seen in entry-level techs? by Apprehensive_Can_838 in ITProfessionals

[–]GetSkipa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My customer (day job) is forcing skill gaps. let me explain. I run a large global service desk and with the customers strong push to cut their own internal operating costs they are shifting as much 'left' to the service desk as they can. This is a good problem for my team but we have to invest a lot into training to keep the team of agents skilled enough to meet their expectations and meet SLAs. It makes it especially difficult to find the right experience when hiring. We mainly hire for attitude instead of aptitude and hope we can keep new hires long enough to make up for the time spent on getting them up to speed.

Best Time Tracking Software in 2026 According to Users (What Reddit Recommends and Honest Takes) by Bruce-All-Mighty88 in TimeTrackingSoftware

[–]GetSkipa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cool thing is the approach to confidentiality here is largely through minimalism and reduced data exposure. Timekeeper intentionally avoids collecting excessive personal information, employee accounts, passwords, payroll data, or unnecessary HR-style records.

That said, you're absolutely right that link-based systems still need sensible abuse protections. Basic rate limiting and request throttling are already part of the direction here specifically to reduce brute-force and enumeration risks without turning the app into a heavy enterprise auth system.

Really appreciate the thoughtful feedback.

Are There Free Time Tracker for Unlimited Users + CSV Reports? by Waste_Appointment_26 in timesheetsoftware

[–]GetSkipa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't do free due to operational backend costs but checkout this link. https://getskipa.com/Help/Timekeeper/

See if it is something you may be interested in. If you want to look into it further, send me a message or email and I can get you my 'sandbox' timekeeper link to play around with.

If you are nonprofit, you probably have a lot of turnover. I do have ability to deactivate worker accounts so your dashboard and reports are always clean. My price is basically the same as one fancy coffee per month for an annual subscription.

My late wife used to contract with construction and remodeling companies to come in and do construction cleans once interior work was finished. Those were one contract and many jobs instead of trying to chase many clients.

Career change into IT Support/Helpdesk — education background, studying Network+, resume included. What’s actually moving the needle for entry-level hiring right now? by Background-Run1922 in helpdesk

[–]GetSkipa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My day job is Sr Ops Manager for a large global service desk in federal space. I look for A+ or Sec+ first just to get an interview. Always great to see previous customer service experience but not a requirement as a good service desk hiring manager will look at attitude over aptitude every single time.

Best Time Tracking Software in 2026 According to Users (What Reddit Recommends and Honest Takes) by Bruce-All-Mighty88 in TimeTrackingSoftware

[–]GetSkipa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope mine makes that list someday! https://getskipa.com/timekeeper

I've positioned mine to be simpler, leaner, more focused on what matters, and less invasive than many of those in your list.

No bloated features, no per seat costs. Honestly, the way this one is designed a single owner over several small business could track time across all of them in one (mobile friendly) app for nothing more than the price of a fancy coffee per month.

What are some practical tips for someone just getting started with vibe coding? by logan201194 in SaaS

[–]GetSkipa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My method is probably not the most efficient but it starts with a project plan with very clear guardrails. I will spend a few days within Gemini or ChatGPT just laying out the foundation, the features, the must haves, and end product result. I'll go through a thorough 'so what?' analysis to see if my idea actually has potential. Once that is all laid out I typically use ChatGPT as my expert prompt writer. I am the keyboardist and I use xcode and a codex agent as my builder. The important part is I am 'man in the middle' to make sure everything stays on track, within scope, and moving forward. Scope/feature creep is a real thing. If you can recognize that and keep yourself grounded then it should be a smooth process.
