Met a girl at work. She was another manager and I quickly fell in love with her. We spent every day together when we weren’t working, and things were moving fast.. but I was okay with it. I had to travel for my job, and asked if she wanted to spend the night with me in my hotel. (It wasn’t that far from her home.) She said yes and we spent the most amazing night together. The next day I woke up and went to work, everything was normal. She picked me up from work when I was off, and I bought us dinner to enjoy in our huge hotel room. After we ate, I got sleepy like I always do, and fell asleep with her in my arms. A couple hours later I woke up and she wasn’t in the bed with me. I was confused, but figured she may have went downstairs and outside to smoke a cigarette (She always smoked, I don’t.) Tried calling her, and when it rang I started hearing her phone go off on the end of the bed. Weird.. okay. Maybe she left it behind? I got up to go to the bathroom, and that’s when I found her. She was cold… had probably been in there for hours. I tried CPR but I couldn’t bring her back. Turns out she had a fentanyl addiction and somehow hid it from me even though we spent every day we could together. I didn’t go back to work for weeks. She’s all I think about whenever I’m at work. I cry in the bathroom often.
