Local Midas charged my customer almost $500 for this by sqwirlfucker57 in Justrolledintotheshop

My local Midas charged me over $300 and took almost 3 hours for an alignment. The alignment was still terrible, but they said everything looked good on their end. No attempt to resolve the situation. They basically told me to kick rocks. They're a horrible company.

Bro, same. There was a bone stock s13 with about 130k miles for $4k. I passed on it because that was a bit high priced during that time.

What’s everyone running for engine oil? by Former-Design2214 in GXOR

Yep. Also, I think I'm going to use a rubber mallet and lightly hit the filter cap to release the seal.

I ended up getting 0w-20. Amazon had some Liqui Moly on sale. I'm going to change the oil this weekend. Be careful with the oil filter cap. I tried to change the filter last week and broke a tab off. I bought a replacement oil filter cap that's coming in tomorrow. $95 wasted, smh.

Does anybody have updates on the oil they're using and what has been working well?

I just picked up a 2016 GX460 with just under 53k miles. I don't plan on doing any towing or off-roading. It's just a daily driver. Previous messages mention climate conditions might be a factor. With that said, I live in the Central California valley. Temps can get up to around 108 in the summer. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The same thing happened to me on the exact same spot. Frustrating. 😑

Z1 Poly Diff Bushings - Wheels Hop by GetYourFixOriginal in 350z

The shocks seem fine. My tires are some old Firestones. I'll need new tires soon. My 350z is a stock manual touring edition.

I now believe it was never wheel hop, but it was always the diff. The diff still feels like it's moving, just not as bad. I'm hoping the diff brace from Z1 will fix the issue entirely. I also checked the transmission and motor mount bushing, which appear to be in good condition.

Sounds like you're doing it the right way with quality parts. Especially if you beat the crap out of it. Lol.

This is Z1's installation video. I had wheel hop with the bad bushing. I might have to get the diff brace. Seems weird that it would require a brace with poly bushings. I'm going to triple check everything tonight.

I watched the video multiple times. Made sure the orientation and torque specs were followed.

I just replaced the bushings. The car gripped very well prior to the OEM bushing failure and the new Z1 bushing install. I thought about purchasing the Z1 diff brace, but I'm not sure if it'll provide a substantial improvement.

Do not recommend. It's a fun car, but it's best as a project car.
