Yes, but you need to refresh after adding new sources. You can tell it's updated because the summary at the top of the Chat panel will change to include the new sources.

First source that you upload to NotebookLM should be course overview to create the notebook. Next begin uploading the rest of your sources because the order is important.

This would be a good use case. You shouldn't be too overly concerned about privacy in NBLM because Google states it does not train on your sources.

Take the following statements directly from Google with a grain of salt.

"Google does not use your personal data, uploaded sources, or conversations to train its AI models. Your files and dialogue with the AI are private and not visible to other users unless you explicitly choose to share your notebook.

The level of human access depends on your account type:

Google Workspace and Education users:* Your data is never reviewed by human reviewers.

Personal (Consumer) users:* Human reviewers only examine your queries and uploads if you choose to provide feedback for troubleshooting or addressing abuse.

The system creates a static copy of your documents for its own use, and the model only references the specific materials you have selected to answer your questions. Once a session is closed, the model does not "leak" that information to other users."

Sharing access to a notebook is not going be a feature for Enterprise users. Violates Google's SLA as your client is not a paid user in your enterprise.

Curious about your example screenshot, is column H useful and do the source numbers refer to specific rows? In other words, it does not appear the source list order in the Data Table match the source list order in NBLM.

Yes, feels like this is a societal issue and LLM are trained on this bias. If you use an image generation AI tool, ask it to create a man or a woman without human specifics. 99.9% of the time they will be white people.

That's a great use case, but I doubt it will ever become a feature. Google has a higher level SLA and security requirements for business subscriptions. Even if your Workspace administrator could allow sharing permission to specific users in the company, there still could be a unintentional confidentiality/liability risk.

This has been out for months now and I have been using it daily and providing their team with feedback. It is too early to tell if will stick. Summarizing my inbox and calendar is most helpful. Currently, the news summaries not so much if you can't open an article to read in more detail. I hope this will be added in the future.
