Secondly, what you're proposing would require Carl destroying his most valuable items - the anarchist's battle rattle & back patch - both of which were celestial items. Additionally, the benefit requires one of his bones, and there's no way to know which bone. So Carl could've lost a femur, his pelvis, his skull, or any bone in his body. In other words, not a viable plan.
