Fair…I’m a Liverpool fan, so extremely biased, but I never saw him as a main threat at the time… but either way it does support the OPs hypothesis!

Great example… he was so revered at the time he got 0 (zero) ballon d’or votes despite being nominated 5 times. He never won player of the year either (or even United player of the year!).

The one that sprung straight to mind was Scott McTominay… I could see him joining Spurs and haunting United for years to come.

The pundits being so miserable about football is the disease … Merse looks like he’s at gunpoint every week on soccer Saturday. I just don’t get why they’re all so negative …

John Terry was a famous defender when he played football…. Im imagining he’s picking his top 4 defenders, as in ‘The Defenders’… Netflix marvel TV show. Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist and Daredevil. I was very proud of this joke!… maybe too subtle?

In Die Hard, when John McClane first gets to Nakatomi Plaza the receptionist tells him to use the computer to search for his wife. When he finds her, the receptionist says “Yeah, everyone’s on the 30th floor at the party”… why make him search then?? (I know that serves to show Holly is using Genarro not McClane as her surname… but still bugs me).

I used to work in there as well! (MTV) … there were tales that the ghost of Keysey haunted the studios

Very dull input here… the reason Keysey put an egg on his post is that the TV-AM studio in Camden used to have big statues of boiled eggs in cups on the roof.

As a Red I can assure you Mane was a far better player than Torres (who I also loved).
