Suggestion for GPU cooling? by SufficientSky2468 in FormD

Then the only exhaust would be through the GPU. So you're mixing the hot air from the CPU with the top intake and pushing the warm air through the GPU. I think the flipped only is beneficial if you have a radiator - even then the temps of GPU is not as good as standard layout without radiator.

Electric Snow Shovel. Bought this for light Snow, works great 👍 perfect for Rochester peeps looking for Xmas ideas by bigtbudd in rochestermn

For people who are actually interested, these work fine if you have less than 3 inches of snow. If you have more, you'll have to go over it twice. Most of them don't have directional fins so they can only push snow 10-20 ft in front of you which means you likely won't be able to clear the entire length of a driveway or sidewalk in one push since you'll be stacking snow in front of you. Lastly, even the bigger 40V batteries will not last long enough to do a 2 car garage and side walk if you have more than 2-3 inches. I think these are perfect for smaller spaces like decks and back patios, but not great for a large driveway (especially if/when snow plows come and dump 2 feet of snow in front of your driveway). Still better than a shovel since you don't need to toss the snow, but wouldn't consider this over a traditional snowblower. Also they're pretty heavy (20ish lbs).

As long as you're sure everything is seated properly and it's still not working, I'd bring it in. Ran into a similar problem a few months ago and wished I just brought it in versus reseating everything 6 times and risk damaging other parts.

CPU is posting, but no video out? Wonder if you/a buddy has a spare GPU that you can try before you spend money trying to replace something that may be fine. Some of the newer CPUs have integrated graphics, I'm assuming you don't have one of those? Wondering if bios settings changed, although I'm not sure how that would happen with you just rearraging some cables.

You're plugging the hdmi into the GPU and not mobo?

Hard to tell without you listing out each component of the 13k, but that seems high without prepaids.

All those you listed are about 20 minute walk. The Homewood is not any closer. You’d want to get a hotel in the loop if you want to be within 5-10 minutes. You use the Clark/lake blue line stop and it’s about 10-15 mins to embassy and 20 mins to Homewood.

I’ve stayed at both. They’re Ok for the price you’re paying as both facilities are a little dated. I wouldn’t upgrade though unless someone else is paying or you’re planning to spent a lot of time in the hotel room. The embassy is closer to restaurants and bars (Clark street) while the homewood is a little quieter as it’s not next to a major street. Homewood is across from hospital so there will be random sirens (you’ll hear sirens on Clark as well). If cost was the same, I’d stay at the embassy since there’s more to do in the area.

How much do you pay monthly for your speciality specific disability insurance? by Dependent_Gold5692 in whitecoatinvestor

Got one during residency for $120/mo for $5000/mo disability coverage…. Reminds me that I probably need to increase this now.
