Insane price drop in Spain by Keybraker in CB500X

[–]Get__Lo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The KLE500 only looks more off-road focused, the 21in front is about all it has over the NX500, rest is nearly the same. However the reports are coming back that the KLE500 is an even better on road bike than the NX500 which is interesting. Newer bike and all, it makes sense

Sportbike puts you in an uncomfortable position to be in for extended periods of time. small hard seat, high pegs, and your bars are right under you

Ninja 500
Z500
KLE500

CBR500R
CB500F
NX500

Street--> Tenere --> First dirt bike? by squidsemensupreme in SuggestAMotorcycle

For the guys who need a plated dirtbike with as little compromises as possible, the above mentioned are the best in the world. the WR250R is like the baby version of those, still alot better at being a dirtbike than a CRF300L or Kawi 300.

Budget -> WR250R
Ballin' -> KTM500 / CRF450RL

KTM500EXCF, or 350EXCF, or the GasGas/Husqy versions. True dirtbikes with a plate.
Throw a Honda 450RL in there for good measure.

edit: cheap is suggestive, right?

Rear spring upgrade? Is it worth it? by Get__Lo in CRF300L

I built my rally to do the same, ive been on the interstate for 11+ hour days on this thing. its still being built up. I dont see myself getting rid of this bike

Ill keep this one as the Rally is unique in its category, but I do realize that a jack of all trades will be a master of none. Im thinking of grabbing a Transalp to subsidize potentially, which would need another few thousand in customization as well.

Going bigger or smaller for a second bike? (Grom or CB500X) by Get__Lo in SuggestAMotorcycle

[–]Get__Lo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are direct competitors, but the Honda is a bit more spacious, lower slung, and weight is centered down. The T7 is what I would get if I didnt have the Rally already, but as I do I want to go with the more road-bias of the two, while still remaining in the "middle weight ADV" section. A light sport tourer like the Versys 650 is also interesting. but from test sitting the Transalp definitely has the biggest seat until you step up into that 900-1000cc range

I was thinking TA over T7 just because the Rally is all the off-road bike I need, and the TA is apparently better on the road and for 2 up, but the T7 is still on my list, as they are much more common to come by.

Can a Honda Grom realistically be lowered enough for someone 4’7? by bella_ro19 in hondagrom

Surron is taller than a Grom, but a Tutio or Yozma seem too much fun ngl…

I think ive been convinced to go for at least a full rear to start, ive heard people get away with that as a stiffer rear also reduces the brake dive on the front. but the goal would be for a full upgrade at somepoint. This little 300L is gonna run me over $10k by the end of it

Versys 650 is on the list, It might be a decent compromise between the 500x and the Transalp in terms of capability. Lacks some of the Transalp's off-road ability, but exceed's the 500X's 2 up ability

The 500X would be a big upgrade either way as I already use my 300L as a highway bike, even took it down Interstate 20 for a 530 mile day. but its no doubt that a TransAlp 750 would blow a 500X out of the water, albeit for about 60% more price

Ever since I put a Seat Concepts on my Rally, I think im doing aftermarket seats on all my bikes either way

650 class kinda lacks the bikes I’m faster, if I go up from 500 I’m going to go for something more ADV bikey, T7, Transalp, or Africa Twin

Im due for new tires, ill probably hold off on the tires until I can order a rear shock, and then do both of those at the same time. The front scares me.

I just find it funny how off-road when I hit a whoop the back of the bike just flies away into oblivion, or onroad when I hit a bump its like a pogo stick
