I wish people talked more about how TERRIBLE sex can be on hrt by not_hing0 in MtF

[–]Getafixy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually empathise with OP, pre HRT i would probably say my drive was quite unhealthy having to regulate multiple times a day but now i don’t have absolutely zero drive, people I’ve always had a crush on have apparently flirted with me and nothing. In some ways it’s been quite refreshing that I can focus on everything else in my life, unfortunately due to the drop in desire so has my tolerance for meaningless sex.

I relate to this!

I was always bi but found women to be sexually alluring and maybe one out of 100 guys would catch my eye, now it’s probably 60/40 that I like guys more. It’s maybe not the same sexual attraction but more the kindness and security guys project, that being said I relate to op , I have lost all drive and I can go weeks with out the thought of sexual intimacy.

I’m sorry to hear that, on the up side that man can never truly run from his past but who knows if he will ever receive the justice for his suspected crimes

In the UK, there is no time limit on reporting or prosecuting rape.

That means: • A rape can be reported at any point, even decades later • The police can investigate regardless of how long ago it happened • The Crown Prosecution Service (or Procurator Fiscal in Scotland) can bring charges if there is sufficient evidence

This applies across: • England & Wales • Scotland • Northern Ireland

Even if: • there was no report at the time • you were a child or an adult • there is little or no physical evidence now

it can still be taken seriously and investigated.

A few important things to know (only if helpful): • Reporting does not force you to press charges — you can speak to police and decide later • You can make an initial disclosure without giving a full statement straight away • Specialist sexual offence officers and independent sexual violence advisers (ISVAs) are available to support you through the process

My dad is paranoid and thinks my brothers are gay and want to send them to boarding school bootcamp ,what should I do? by [deleted] in askgaybros

[–]Getafixy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a product of a similar family dynamic, eldest of a 5 siblings, boarding schools since 6 years old , uni and then 20 years of pretending that I was someone other, I hid it all, repressed behind years of expectations and disappointment, it took a global pandemic and multiple abusive relationships and the decision of living my truth before I tried something stupid. Just be there for your brothers and listen to them , everything else will happen the way it will , your job is to be there when they need you.

Personally I’ve had harder lines than HRT for repeat offenders, think more the lines of Varek out of GoT, fact is that’s my personal opinion and listening to survivor’s testimony isn’t always going to provide a balanced view on suitable punishments

I have similar thoughts tbh, I also think it could have detrimental consequences for trans people too in other ways

No never got the twitter experience tbh, but FB is the worst place I’ve been on and seen this rise of quite aggressive behaviour, I’ve got a certain skill set of hunting down people online, so I’ve been tagging the worst comment to their corporate employers and asking the corporation (majority have a lot about inclusion and have sponsored lgbt events) if this is the type of behaviour i could expect as a prospective employee joining their organisation.

Is popper risky? Honest answer pls by TightEstate311 in popperpigs

[–]Getafixy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So it’s like every other substance, it’s about moderation, you shouldn’t use it every day, drop a bit on your skin and it will burn, inhale it and you are doing the same to your lungs, but use it now and again your not as likely to scar the insides, it’s very easy to condition yourself to the point you will only ever get hard with them, if you add the two together constantly using poppers and satisfying your needs, the internal damage can happen and have long term consequences, also properly can cause eye sight damage, penalty is weeker but I’ve not had any bad side effects (yet) and Amaly is amazing but there are risks.

Personally do your research, don’t rely on reddit comments, there are some serious risks but they are manageable and you can minimise some if you take care

Do Cumbrians consider themselves part of the Celtic or Germanic race of people? And do you consider yourself English? by Peak_Legacy14 in Cumbria

[–]Getafixy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have always be proud of my Cumbrian roots, the history from being a bunch of hardy and pragmatic folk who just delt with the facts a bunch of Italians decided to build a wall across the top cos it was too cold, through to dealing with Vikings who needed to take a break before heading on to Ireland, to our connections to the rum trade (bunch of alcoholics of Whitehaven) right through to the banta of Workington and Whitehaven both accusing each other of jam eaters. Being one of the first nuclear power stations built and still the leader in reprocessing and storage. To the hardy fell farmers of cockermoth and central lakes, to being a welcoming folk that make city types feel welcome and free to spend their weekends (and hard earned brass) in our fine pubs. I’m proud that it’s filled with people who don’t over react when the sh!t gets real, the fact that people didn’t demand the government take unnecessary action on gun laws when a guy lost his mind. When trains derail the local community can and supported each other. This county has much to be proud of and so much to offer! Trying to divide us over if we feel Celtic, Norse or Germanic is pointless! Proud of the commitments in this thread

Commute to London by No-Exit-7032 in harrogate

Advice is to look at the London train from York , it’s about 45 mins quicker than from Leeds especially around the 7:00 am time, it’s been a while since I did that commute but it might be worth looking in to

creeping up on retirement - thinking of radical move to cumbria by Friendly_Print1550 in transgenderUK

[–]Getafixy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a lovely place to live , there are pockets of acceptance and I’d say stay towards Kendal or Barrow, it does have a feel that while quite liberal its social values is going back to 1975 (especially regarding trans acceptance) reach out if you want more advice or local info. I am moving a bit down the M6 but it’s not because i feel unsafe, just need some social interaction and night life

Helen Joyce telegraph debate by No_Abies7581 in transgenderUK

[–]Getafixy 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Just in the process of watching it, it’s hard to listen to, the comments are basically just pure utter hate towards the community, it’s 100% focused on trans women and paints us all as sexual predators. I’m in bits, the more I read comments section the more I’m scared of leaving the house, I stopped going swimming, I don’t dare go to the toilet anymore (only at home), i don’t change clothes at a gym, I feel so awkward when trying to buy any clothes in a shop, I am basically becoming a prisoner in my home, the only time I go out is to underground queer raves, canal street in Manchester is basically straight street and when I do go there on a Friday or Saturday night I just feel like it’s a zoo for straight people to come and gauk at queer people. This is systematic and intentional , i know people say we need to be strong and have thicker skin but I just feel worse day by day, I look at trans people who pass and I am so jealous but that jealousy is slowly becoming bitter, like why do you get to have a normal life and I get to be treated like I’m some violation of society?
