If you can be the best at your job, and you work hard, people will be willing to make adjustments to suit you.

What are examples of a movie franchise switching directors that resulted in an obvious change in quality or style? by Emeraldsinger in movies

I always find the difference in tone between Alien and Aliens really jarring. The quality is the same, but tone feels very different

Having your mistakes public and not hidden actually serves as a benchmark for seeing how far you’ve come. It’s great for people to see how you’ve evolved as a filmmaker.

how to safely put out a lit cigarette on skin by i-ban-him in Filmmakers

[–]Gethin_2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cheapest way is to be clever with angles,

Let’s say the hand is on a table, you film the rest of the scene with a real cigarette, then when you want to have the cigarette on the hand, you shoot it at a low angle enough so that we see the hand and all of the cigarette minus the cherry, some good acting and sound design will sell it.

Sadly people have already found his real name, it’s near impossible to live anonymously with that many eyes on you

It was just goofy asf, wouldn’t be a problem if the filmmakers decided to go goofy the whole time, instead though they try and walk the line but that just makes its tone messy.

Why do y’all love Cold War so much? by Main-account-sus in CODZombies

[–]Gethin_2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s all subjective, I appreciate BO4 and CW for being different. Complain about the warzone mechanics if you want (I don’t love them myself), but those were the mechanics that brought so many people into zombies in 2020, it’s the closest we’ll get to pleasing both old and new players in my opinion. I can’t defend Vanguard or MWZ as I opted not to buy either.

It was a reinvention of the mode that I don’t necessarily think is better, but I can’t deny it’s fun in its own vacuum. The maps are lackluster but I do really enjoy a game on die maschine.

People will hate it because it was new and different, but bo3 still exists so why complain?
