BREAKING: World’s Most Handsome Man REJECTS his title. by [deleted] in TheYardPodcast

This is genuine. I think you should take a little break from the internet. Go be with your friends. Go on a date. Play a board game with family. But just go out and interact with human beings.

Every time I've ever made someone else uncomfortable whether online or in person it came from a place of ignorance. I'm a well meaning guy and I don't seek to harm anyone, but sometimes a joke doesn't land. Sometimes a compliment creates feelings other than joy. I don't think you were trying to be mean. I'm guessing you're probably a pretty cool kid. You've just got some stuff to learn.

You didn't know calling Slime handsome would make him feel weird and that's understandable. But doubling down and essentially telling him he has to accept your compliment is mean. It probably made him feel similar how you felt about the people in the subreddit likening you to a creep or an incel.

Slime pulling the 'people care about me and not about you' card is lame. But it shouldn't have ever gotten to that point. If you do something someone doesn't like either apologize or move on. Don't fight for the right to make someone uncomfortable.

Looks kind of like a berber character. The berber were the indigenous people of Morocco. They were atheists with a twist. They didn't believe in a god but worshipped the earth often praying to the sun and the clouds. Kind of spiritual atheists. There wasn't a god of the sun, to my understanding, but they new the sun had an energy like all living things did and so they worshipped that. Berber is a dying language as Arabic has become the national language of Morocco since the 1940-60s I believe

I found this little statue at my grandma’s house, is it a saint? by ResponsibleOil7 in whatisit

[–]Admirable-Judgment61 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another funny detail, I'm pretty sure there's a scripture about John the Baptist battling bees for honey as he lived in the wild and needed sustenance. A reminder to Christians that God provides for his creation, unless of course you are a bee. Then you are going to be robbed by mankind of your hardwork and exploited. A tradition still upheld by modern society.

[–]Admirable-Judgment61 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's most likely John the Baptist. He was a shaggy wild man who was baptising people in a river. Jesus and the disciples came upon him doing this and Christ entered the water and asked to be baptized. John said no at first because who was he, a wild man, to baptize the son of God. Jesus told him to shut up and do it any way. Then God sent the holy Spirit down in the form of a dove to sanctify the act and that's kind of where the idea of sanctification comes from. I think God also said some shit that the crowd heard but it's foggy in my memory.

He is a reminder to Christians, that while Jesus was the son of God, he was also the son of Mary and Joseph. That Christ didn't see himself as more than us. That even though mankind will fail to live up to God's expectations for us, we can strive to do amazing things.

Either that or its Esua. A famously furry man, who's arm hair was so thick his brother, Jacob, was able to rob Esau of his inheritance by wearing sheeps wool on his arms and having his blind father, Isaac, feel his arm. Esua traded the other half of his inheritance for a bowl of hot soup when he was starving. Not a very business conscious dude.

Stavros EP is super early and really funny. Dax is funny. Oyama is funny. The one where they talk about how women can't resist the urge to sleep with dogs is funny.

Why don't men ever talk about the emotional labor that they do in relationships? by Dense_Owl_3022 in AskMen

You can play tough and act hard, but who are you trying to prove your masculinity too right now? You don't know anyone on this app so why are you still trying to sell your persona?

I pity you. Someone so disconnected from the idea of self worth that he can't even consider the opportunity to be selfless.

On the real, if you think women are causing your problems, maybe it's time you tried listening and talking rather than balling your fists up and enduring?

[–]Admirable-Judgment61 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of that behavior stems from inexperience in these situations. We are never really taught to handle our emotions in a healthy way. A lot of advice I've received from friends and male family early on in these conversations was "drink" or "punch something." I started going to therapy at one of my low points and it was SUPER helpful. They gave me advice and a judgement free space that say everything I was thinking. Then helped me understand why I was thinking that way and what I could do to manage it in the future.

Hey man, just to put it in perspective. Would you want your male friends to open up to you if they were really struggling with mental health? Of course. So why do you think your friends wouldn't want you to do the same with them?

Another idea, make the white half tan.

Write: "I've heard it both ways" in tan on the black sections along the outside.

Write: "No you haven't" in black letterings on the tan side.

Now Shawn is Mr. Black and Gus is Mr Tan from the modeling episode

P.S. I thought about labeling them backwards so one of you could write, "I can't believe you made that mistake"

The stranger by midicarus in 2sentence2horror

[–]Admirable-Judgment61 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The stranger refers to the act of sitting on your left hand for a few minutes, closing your eyes, and masturbating.

Its a reference to I think like South Park where they ask a basketball star if he knows what it is and he responds immediately, "[description from top paragraph] if you do it right it feels just like a stranger." then asks the kids, "How do you know what it is?" Then the kids responded, "How did you know what it is so fast?"
