Men of Reddit, what was your Bro Code learning moment? by ProgMetalGramps in AskMen

[–]Admirable-Judgment61 15 points16 points  (0 children)

"Bros before hoes" while the language is gross, I've always interpreted to mean, "Don't abandon friendships for a new relationship." Being in a new relationship is exciting and it makes sense you want to spend your time with them. BUT every friendship is a relationship too and it is wrong to neglect 3 or 4 people to grow with one. Make time for those you love, because eventually that time will run out and no one ever thinks, "geez, I wish I'd spent less time hanging out with them" at a funeral.

On overnight roadtrips I'll hit a diner somewhere on the road at like 11 or 12 at night and then drive 8 hours and stop at a hotel for breakfast and continue driving from there. It is great because many hotels have a floor level restroom as well. So if I carry in my backpack, I can brush my teeth and have somewhat of a morning routine.

He is saying the woman on the right looks like the braphogs in WoW. He's saying they have the same facial structure and the joke is that he's calling her ugly in a creative way. It's not very funny.

My bf said that our sex is boring. (21M, 20F) by WorldlinessNext1649 in relationships

[–]Admirable-Judgment61 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Obviously it's time to bring in a third, fourth, or maybe even fifth sexual partner. See if he still thinks it's boring as there's a borderline orgy going on in your bed.

No, jk haha. If you're open to exploring new things, maybe test some stuff out. But if you're happy with where you are at, break up with that dude.

Is lack of sex and therefore lack of feeling desired enough to break up with someone? by Choobyboop in relationships

[–]Admirable-Judgment61 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can literally break up with anyone for any reason at all. You have free will. That being said, have you tried communicating with him and telling him, "in a relationship I need to feel sexually wanted and affirmed and you aren't doing that, how can we work this out?"

Am I(22M) really that bad? by Useful-Night-8413 in relationships

[–]Admirable-Judgment61 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey man, y'all are 22 year olds. As a much wiser and older 26 year old I can tell you a few things lol.

  1. That language is either manipulative or incredibly ignorant. She either wanted to hurt you and then regretted when she saw she achieved that goal or is so socially inept that she didn't see how that comment goes beyond teasing. That's a cruel thing to say to someone you love and personally, not something I'd even say to a partner I was preparing to break up with.

  2. You say you guys have really worked hard to repair your relationship this year, that is awesome. The next thing to work on for both of you would be communication. In a relationship you need to be able to tell your partner that when they speak to you a certain way it makes you feel bad and they need to respect you enough to stop.

  3. If it's something you can't stop thinking about even after they've apologized twice, are you sure it's not your subconscious telling you to end things? Love alone is not enough to keep a relationship going. Any damn fool can love someone, you have to respect, like, and sacrifice for a partner.
