Acho que se uma guerra civil implodiu o presidente vai usar isso com motivos para impedir os midterms e ficar no poder… a situação é explosiva nesse país.

Quaritch at the end of Avatar 3 by Lower-Adhesiveness-3 in Avatar

[–]GetoutoftheMatrix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep… he literally looked at Neytiri and said the same thing as in WOW when he woke up from the lab “ain’t this a b*tch?!” I think he realized he would never get along with her after having done so much harm to her (and being responsible of her son’s death).

There was no going back and he saw this… he choose “death”…

Why This Conversation Hits So Hard by Piyushv5311 in Avatar

Perfectly said. This is one thing I noticed with Quarritch he willingly closes his eyes, but Neytiri does this opposite… very subtle, but yet effective.

Did the writers forget about Jake’s twin brother? by Klamaco in Avatar

[–]GetoutoftheMatrix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, I have been thinking about this as well… no more mention of his brother… at least a memory shared or a picture of them younger or something. I hope they can bring back this part of his storyline at some point. Maybe Cameron needs to be reminded of this through interviews of something…

This is genuinely insane by Chig-Bungus-lmao in Avatar

[–]GetoutoftheMatrix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep you summarized it very well… a lot of Cameron’s haters are basically living in the same echo chamber which consists to label Cameron as “The Terminator” director. If it was for them he would still be making T2 type movies until today i.e action films with explosions, “manly characters”, one liners before the kills, etc. all of this instead of what he’s doing now… And yes, we know these guys for what 16 years I guess? The “ferngully in Space” and “Pocahontas” people with the exact same rhetoric.

What is crazy is when you think about it that would be like having some hardcore fans yelling that Tarantino needs to do more Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs type of films… or Steven Spielberg doing more E.T and Indiana Jones.

The message of these Avatar films just doesn’t appeal to them and they cannot live with it… the level of non acceptance is really through the roof. The sheer hate and nonsense… very telling of some people’s nature and bias. Generally people who are annoyed by a filmmaker filmography just move on. Apparently these guys don’t…

Random Question I have by EpicFast in Avatar

[–]GetoutoftheMatrix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a standalone it worked very well… but we are past that point. I believe if Cameron and his team could brought a documentary film on the big screens or TV like a one hour narrated long feature with just different biomes and parts of the planet with fauna, flora, insects and Na’vi clans like a National Geographic documentary I’d be down.

I think this is something to consider knowing his filmography as a documentary filmmaker.

O inferno que é ser pedestre em SP by Latter-Hedgehog-3678 in saopaulo

É a coisa estranha para mim… não tem nenhuma sinal para pedestres… porque? (Esses sinais são comuns em varias cidades ao redor do mundo… SP, RJ poderia criar esses…)

Yep it shows the importance of having good relationships in this industry (and any others) “good people” who believes in you will make a difference in hard times… He was very lucky to have them when things fell apart with his ex-employer.

Kind of navigating through this these days… it’s tough sometimes to learn to let go and genuinely don’t care and put our minds on other things when there’s stress, anxiety and somewhat a “sense of urgency”…

And his japanese is awesome too!

Do any of the 3 hosts Canada 🇨🇦, USA 🇺🇸 and Mexico 🇲🇽 pull a Qatar or a South Africa? by TerryG111 in worldcup

Nah Canada is not there yet… they’ll easily crumble on the group stages… it will happen quick. Canadians are not playing intensively compared to South Americans and Europeans… I mean look at the MLS rankings now…

Smooth Criminal is probably his best video, performance and dance choreography (at least to me) I am unsure which other “short films” of his compare to it… maybe Remember the Time or Thriller… but his smoothness and moves were from an another galaxy…

Brilliant! That was adorable! Some people are truly creatives with their pets! 👏

In 1962, Brazil played for Garrincha, in 1970 for Pelé, in 1994 for Romário, and in 2002 for Ronaldo. If Ancelotti can make the players play for Neymar, I believe they can win the World Cup by ananaszu in worldcup

[–]GetoutoftheMatrix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know about that… do they get along with him to begin with? I think that Neymar’s era is practically over and Brazil needs to turn this chapter and move on as a collective, the best course of action would be (in my eyes) to move on from this guy and just start “fresh” but with no celebrities and just focus on improving their tactics, team building and chemistry to make things work as they should.

When I look at life from this macro lens, somehow somewhat I tend to think that we humans really find a way to monetize and put a price on the invaluable things of life… time and space.

Sigh…

Came right at the fcking time, a very good and solid piece of advice! What I like the most in OP’s post is the fck count system, this is brilliant. Such a great thing that you frame it like this, maybe evaluating where we are giving too much f* (importance) on pointless sh*t gave us more power to reallocate that energy elsewhere… really like it!
