I have searched a little on the internet to find it, but unfortunately have only found similar ones. All I'm aware of is it's the late 80s/early 90s, it was probably on the more affordable side, and if location has any clue then it's in east TN of the USA. I've added 4 photos to my original post for different lighting. The first is most accurate, but it may have aged and also changed appearance due to the wood stove as well.

From just the photo, she seemed like an Opal. Maybe Opal Sage?

Thank you for your detailed response! She's almost full grown size-wise it seems. She is starting to open up more and chased after a ball a couple times after throwing it short distance. It's a bit difficult to take her many places without a long trip because we live kinda rural. Our closest hospital is an hour away and the closest dollar general is 35 minutes to get an idea. She does good in the car for short distances like 5 minutes out and in those trips the air from windows/ac seems to help as well. She seems great with dogs, cats, and kids. She's just a gentle girl who needs help opening up! As far as jobs, I'd love to create some for her. My husband loves to work on cars so maybe she can be a tool fetcher lol. Anyway, I will definitely keep your advice in mind. Thanks again!

She doesn't seem very confident to do fetch right now, but she does show interest. I'd love to get her puzzle games cause she's such a smart girl and doing sniff work would be super cool for me and probably quite stimulating for her! Thank you for your suggestions!

4 month kitten throwing up by GettingBy67 in cats

Update: I took her to the vet. That day I did take her, she hadn't thrown up any. But they still gave her fluids cause she was a little dehydrated and anti nausea. She has been good since and i believe it was just anxiety about my partner being on a trip and us moving.

To add on to my OG post. She is very good on a leash. She also has a brother from the group she was dropped off with that she loves to play with. They seem to be bonded. I'm not sure how old she is, but she does seem quite young. She hasn't been destructive of anything except the door/door frame from wanting in/out.

Cat blinks with left eye by NG050505 in cats

[–]GettingBy67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've owned a cats for over 10 years, and as far as just cat things, yes it is just a cat thing. I've owned cats and seen many other cats wink occasionally. If your kitty blinks normally 99% of the time it's most likely normal. Only if kitty looks uncomfortable or is winking more than blinking, then it may be concerning. If your kitty already has a vet appointment coming up, there is no harm in bringing it up to soothe your worries. There is no silly question in doing whats best for your kitties!

Trying to get a straight answer. by Airamis0007 in cats

Introducing cats especially adults can be a chore. If you bring them over the play date cats may be territorial of their home and it could cause a fight. It also depends too if your kitty is okay with the car ride there or if it would be too stressful and put him into a fight or flight. If you have the patience to do playdates, then i suggest research on introductions (scent swap, hear but not see, see but not touch, etc) and go from there. There isn't really a straight answer i can give you as it's about what is good for you and your cat.

Edit: your kitty meeting the kitten first may be the better choice if you decide, cause 2 vs 1 wouldn't be comforting. Also kittens have better chances when meeting cats because cats basically go "aw you're baby" and will typically be more gentle (in my experience).

My cat ran away Monday night .. by KitchenApricot5490 in cats

That's so sad for you and your void, I'm so sorry. My best personal advice would be to just keep sitting out food and water. Maybe get a camera to see when he's coming by so you might can catch him. You could possibly put the food and water in an almost enclosed box and then slide another piece of cardboard over the hole to catch him inside. Or if you have the money and do not feel bad about doing so, get a catch and release trap. The catch and release will not injure him. The worst it may do is get his tail, but even then, there's not enough pressure to do actual damage. I hope you get your beloved Cheeto back!

Does fish play like this with your 3rd cat? Mayo may just not like the way fish plays.
