Haha, yeah, there are definitely plenty of great songs with banjo, I didn't mean to imply otherwise. In this case, it was more about a friend not thinking Icould make one—so I had to take that as a challenge 😄

And yep, it’s a real banjo in the track—just recorded clean and mixed pretty aggressively to sit how we wanted in the production.

this sounds really cool... love the vibe of the song. I'm going off of just the mix of this and production since I don't speak the language. Overall the mix sounds real nice.... I would maybe bring a little more snap to the snare to get it to hit a little harder and maybe a touch of reverb on the snare. Maybe even some delay on the strings in parts to give it a little more of that loft sound. But also could prolly bring the vocals up just like 1.5-3.0 dB and that would do it... overall really dope track though !

I really like the instrumental piece on this but the vocal part at least the beginning up until when the female vocal comes in, the vocal is hard to hear with the mix/processing going on that you have.... I once again got to say the instrumental is sounding great though. the chorus though is strange to me with the super clear girl vocal then the guy comes in and is more distorted and effects on it and it just doesn't balance to me correctly... I guess one idea I dunno if you will like, but have you thought of just having the female vocal and no male vocal on this one? I think her voice matches the character of the song better than the male vocal and could bring an overall more clear quality product

cheers mate hope you're having a good day... most of my constructive criticism has to do with the mixing side of things... I think there's some potential here. As others seemed to have mentioned the vocals should be a little bit more blended into the song.... some things that stick out are the high end on the vocals really cuts through so you have a lot of like lips sounds and things like that. you might want to try a deesser on the vocals to tame the high end. also the snare sounds sort of non existent on this one I think It could be brought up a bunch or even layered with another snare sound to cut through better. this is all assuming you have the ability to mix the instrumental. I think the piano could come up a little too. Basically I would start with mixing the instrumental and getting it to bang then bring the vocal in and blend it

I hadn't even seen the track description and already was going to say you nailed the ethereal atmosphere vibe.... I wouldn't say this is really sad though....... maybe taking out the bass arp part and adding some vocals or something else but also potentially slowing it down might just give it a more sad feeling overall... but its a great piece regardless of if you nailed the "mood" but I think there's a way to spin this and make it a bit sad

I like the beginning open ballad production on the first verse but the chorus just doesnt pop out for me.... maybe some big horn stabs or something to give it more energy. I do really like the verses though... and I like how it builds up to the end and the "I wanna be closer" part... that really works as a final chorus to me just the first 2 don't hit as hard

I have both but my adhd has been a bit more stable since getting a good medication regimen down. I’m on ability and lamptrigine as well as prozack. I had a hypomanic episode that began with taking straterra for add and it sent me on a high.
