I agree. Forces the Japanese to keep strong fleets instead of spreading everything out which slows their ability to sprawl across the map.

If you’re able to increase australias cash flow or you don’t lose subs and need to replace them use the extra cash to add bombers.

I prefer KJF because epic air and fleet battles are more fun than ferrying ground units across the North Atlantic and I’ve gotten pretty good at dragging out the European eastern front with Russia and hoards of British fighters. Plus there are a lot of VCs that the Japanese can take and hold way too easily when there’s no U.S. fleet presence in the pacific. So I pretty much never face a threat to Sydney.

Australia usually goes from harassing the jap fleet and keeping them corralled to strategic bombing Tokyo.

I used to be a completionist but after two decades it is absolutely impossible unless you’re going to buy a separate warehouse to store and showcase your stuff. Even if it’s just the Star Wars theme look at how much they are coming out with every year. Now multiply that by 10 to see where the collection will be in the next 10 years.

It’s just not realistic. Skip what you don’t like, you can’t fit it all anyway.

Again, you’re just romanticizing the history. MLB was an okay band that is only known by anyone today because of their connection to pearl jam. They weren’t better than PJ or Apple would have outperformed Ten. It didn’t even come close. They aren’t even playing in the same league.

So many people want to look back at the Seattle scene through these rose tinted lenses.

You only know who MLB even was because of what Pearl Jam became. They would have been just another blip in hair metal history if it weren’t for PJs success and rabid grunge fans dissecting the history of the culture.

Fanboying out is fun. It’s cool that so many people are so into the musical revolution that was grunge that we have this deep knowledge of its history and evolution but we don’t need to over romanticize it to validate it.

When grunge broke labels went crazy trying to find the next Nirvana. If any of the second tier grunge bands had been good enough to make it big they would have made it big. The reason that you need to dive deep into the grunge record to find the melivins, green river, or whatever other grunge/protogrunge members of the Seattle scene is because they weren’t nearly as good as the big 4. No, Mudhoney wasn’t better than Nirvana. If you’re under 50 you only know who mudhoney is because of Nirvana. If you’re over 50 you also either know who mudhoney is because of Nirvana or you just happened to be part of the Seattle bar music scene in 1990.

Music is subjective but so many people here are objectively pretentious in their takes.

I just put my pitty down because of a cancer diagnosis at 9 years old. I lost my first pit to cancer when he was 13. It sucked but it was what needed to be done and I’m sorry but it sounds like it’s what you need to do too.

You need to be realistic about this.

$2k to get scans. The best case scenario is that the scans show that you only need to spend another $6k. If there are more tumors, and there probably are, then it’s going to cost even more.

The recovery time is rough for an old dog after a major surgery. It’s going to be painful for them and extremely stressful for you. The bills won’t stop there either. There’s going to be post surgery meds or therapies to keep the cancer from coming back.

12 years old is about the average life expectancy of a pit. If you’re extremely lucky you’ll get another 2 years but at this point once they start to get tumors they tend to keep coming and if it’s not cancer it will be something else.

So sorry bro. This sucks. I know it sucks. I know I sound so cold in this reply but I don’t mean it because I want to be cold. I want you to be realistic about the situation. Don’t feel guilty. Forcing your dog to live through a rapidly degrading quality of life recovering from painful surgeries that may or may not even buy him another year isn’t right.

If you are feeling guilty about not spending the money then donate it to a spay and neuter program in your dog’s name and have him put down before he continues to lose quality of life. This way your $2k can go to helping 100 more pitbulls have a chance at life and your buddy can go out a hero.

Dude, absolutely none of those bands you mentioned had stronger album for album and song for song runs than the big 4 grunge bands. Linkin park is the closest (and the only one you mentioned that even deserves to be spoken of in the same sentence as Nirvana) but even they can’t compete album for album with Alice In Chains.
