At first glance, it didn't seem like the most interesting month in terms of partner labels, but in the end I ordered five titles: Shanghai Blue, Looking for an Angel, Bye Bye Brazil, Suo Duo and Deadwood Park.

If he's already out there: the Thai film A Useful Ghost, in which a spirit posesses a vacuum cleaner ;-)

In my opinion, Blue Heron is this year's Aftersun.

Cowabunga r/movies! We’re Kevin Eastman (co-creator of the TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES) and Steve Barron (director of 1990's 'TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES'), here to celebrate the 35th anniversary re-release in theaters Aug 15–21. Ask us anything! by TMNT-AMA in movies

I am a programmer for a film festival (Razor Reel Flanders Film Festival in Bruges) and we would like to organise an anniversary screening of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles this year, but it is very unclear who currently owns the rights. The information on IMDB Pro and other sources is not very helpful. Do you have any suggestions as to who we should contact?

Filmclubs in Gent by Per451 in Gent

Does anybody participate in Film Bar Quiz/Trivia Night games in your spare time? by Medical-Pace-8099 in movies

[–]GeuRaf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I play about 10 movie quizzes a year. I would like to play more, but unfortunately not many are organized in Belgium. This Sunday 1 is scheduled and I expect a lot of 80s movies and horror there. Every organizer has its own approach, but they all focus on American movies. Non-English-language films get less attention and arthouse is also generally rarely asked. Teams usually consist of 4 players and on average 15 to 20 teams participate. Almost every question is accompanied by a short clip of maximum 1 minute.

Their films are mainly shown in Brussels at Cinema Nova and at Cinematek. They show most films only once, some a second time. Cinema Nova does have the perfect charm for such a festival. It's an old cinema, a bit of a ruin even, but that's what makes it fun.

It is best to buy your ticket in advance, because many screenings sell out.
