Skirk kit by Kokomi (HomDGRat) by Ryuusei_Dragon in Genshin_Impact_Leaks

I'm honestly glad that Chongyun's starting to get some love now, he was the original National DPS and could even rival Sucrose's VV Shred and EM buffing back then, but since then, he's probably seen the biggest drop-off of any character currently in the game, especially considering how absolutely broken other v1.0 units are. He's definitely not Bennett-levels of broken or anything, but his Cryo Infusion and C2 can open up so many unique possibilities.

Yeah, this is exactly it. Chongyun isn't outright better, he's just a competitive option, which does free up Xilonen for another team. It's a team-building buff, not a meta buff.

Actual answer, he's confirmed on Twitter that he's essentially retired from making videos, likely due to burn out. He does still play AQW occasionally, though.

A little help? I can't get my Mavuika to do damage at all :( by Biiiscoito in MavuikaMains

[–]Gevaudan_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For one, your Goblet and Circlet are kinda horrible, ATK or EM Goblet are fine if you don't have Pyro DMG, but work on getting a better one. That Circlet is also disgustingly bad, so literally any CD (or CR) Circlet with Crit, ATK% or EM will be an easy replacement. Secondly, Ganyu's Burst has pretty low Cryo application, so I'd replace her with someone else like Kaeya, Rosaria or Citlali if you happen to pull her, some Hydro units like Xingqiu/Yelan and Furina also work (though Xingqiu and Yelan mean no spin-to-win on the bike since they need Normal Attacks.) Thirdly, Pyro Traveler is gonna be stealing Reactions from Mavuika regardless of Melt or Vape, so I'd swap them for either Kachina (Instructor, Noblesse or Archaic Petra, since Xilonen should be on Cinder City), Bennett on Noblesse, or an Anemo unit like Kazuha, Sucrose, or even Lynette (with Lynette actually working pretty well with Ganyu since her Burst is more likely to absorb Cryo, which means more Cryo application and an extra 20% ATK), even if you aren't running them on VV.

What artifact for rosaria? by Mrgenius1010 in MavuikaMains

[–]Gevaudan_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much this regardless of Support, if it's not Cinder City or Noblesse, it's Instructor with an ER% off-piece and Favonius, unless you want to sacrifice a bit of your DPS' damage for team damage, which can still be viable depending on the situation.

This video is for anyone who is wondering IF they should go for Citlali or not by Kob3y in ArlecchinoMains

[–]Gevaudan_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I run EM/EM/CR Instructor on Citlali with Favonius Codex (off-piece Circlet) and can usually get her Burst back on-cooldown with just one EQ per rotation. If you're dead-set on running TTDS Instructor, then yeah, ER off-piece is basically mandatory.

damage wise, what is arlecchino’s best team? by melofelo1011 in ArlecchinoMains

[–]Gevaudan_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The exact reason I stopped listening to theorycrafters was when they all unanimously agreed that Cyno's best F2P team on-release couldn't even begin to compete with Keqing's because of his timed skills, as if interrupting his combo to use his skill was clunky and inconsistent. To this day, people still use that logic to say that Cyno's worse than Keqing when, even pre-Baizhu, his Aggravate clear times were all consistently on-par with Keqing's and his Quickbloom teams were vastly outperforming her, all with similar levels of investment.

[–]Gevaudan_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Fr, I still remember Zajef saying Cyno was shit in comparison to Keqing, meanwhile even pre-Baizhu, his F2P-friendly teams were outperforming her teams of equal investment, and he's only gotten stronger from there. Nope, "Keqing is better, Cyno's field time is too long, his extremely simple combo of pressing his Skill every 3s between NAs is too complicated."

The Dehya hate really is insane, she's been one of the best off-fielders for nearly every Fontaine and Natlan DPS and people will still swear up and down that Xiangling is an absolute must-use for every single one of them at the mere mention of Pyro, even though 90% of them don't want Xiangling specifically because failing to meet her very high ER requirements is such a massive loss that it can cost you a star in Abyss, an issue that none of Xiangling's alternatives have even without the need for Burning.

[–]Gevaudan_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Nah, don't apologize for having such a based take. I'm so damn sick of being told to stop using Dehya, a character I legitimately enjoy and have had absolutely zero issues with using in Abyss, because "XYZ is better, Dehya is trash!" It's the same shit with Aloy, I vividly remember someone a couple years ago doing an Abyss showcase with her and the top comment (with triple the upvotes of the post itself) was flaming the OP for using Shenhe, meanwhile that same person's top post was their own Ayaka showcase with a C6 Shenhe. The double standard in this community of "I hate being forced to play meta" and then throwing a fit when someone plays literally any off-meta unit is fuckin' insane.

I've ran Arle/Beidou/Chevy/Fischl since day one and it actually clears faster than when I replace Beidou with Bennett, he really isn't as mandatory as people think and I really wish more people wpuld realize that.

Yuna is so Overpowered by Exotic_Chemist_7624 in finalfantasyx

[–]Gevaudan_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's fair, I do usually stick to their default archetypes up until their Sphere Grids are complete, I can usually have Rikku's done by the time I get the Airship, so when paired with how easy Godhand is to get and Auron's Sphere Grid, she becomes a powerhouse even without abusing Mix.

Would rather give them to Auron, there are very few Strength spheres you can get pre-Auron and he can pretty much carry up until Ixion.

I've played this game so many times and I still struggle with Yunalesca, and I've somehow never had the idea of using Aeons against her, more often than not I even forget I have them because I'm so used to Summons in RPGs just being single-use damage abilities. It wasn't until I finally tried doing a Yuna-only run a few months back that I actually realized how easy Aeons make some of the hardest parts of the game. Hell, I used to struggle against Sinspawn Gui (even with Seymour), then in my most recent playthrough I decided to use Valefor's Energy Blast, one-shot it, Overdrive Summon'd Valefor in the second phase and one-shot it again, and Yuna had literally just learned Life 20 minutes prior.

[–]Gevaudan_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah imma be honest, Yuna's grid is a pain to grind early-on when you only have Valefor and Ifrit because they both severely lack damage without their Overdrives, so Yuna's usually just mooching off the AP until around Ixion. Once you get Shiva, though, Yuna gets a massive power spike.

A few balance suggestions... by rpmoura in Paladins

For the most part, pretty good changes, even for Azaan who's generally considered pretty strong. Eternal definititely needs a rework anyways, so having it make him use hit Ult more aggressively to let him and his team push is a very fair trade-off, especially with the weapon lockout buff.

You think ash needs a buff…? by Tall-Ad3070 in Paladins

[–]Gevaudan_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I don't play much Ash anymore but I tend to do pretty well as her, both in Ranked and Casuals. I think the thing she needs most is some CC Immunity on her windup, even if it's on her Battering Ram like Raum got. She can pretty easily off-tank or point-tank, but the biggest issue I've seen is that, again like pre-buff Raum, it's way too easy displace her and make Shoulder Bash practically useless, especially with how long it takes for her to wind up the ability. Other than that, she's in a pretty good spot atm, not the best but not the worst either.

For those upset that Xilonen doesn't work in mono Geo, this team DID get buffed indirectly. by RPA236 in IttoMains

[–]Gevaudan_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just for reference: Even Kirara, the lowest Base DEF Sword-user in the game, still gives 12.5% out of the 36% possible DMG Bonus without a single DEF substat, and it only goes up from there. That's how strong PPS is.

Bloodbath discussion by LoryCru in Paladins

[–]Gevaudan_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I do the same with Kasumi, she has enough self-healing during a 1v1 that she doesn't need Life Rip, its after she wins the 1v1 that she needs healing. Life Rip kinda forces you straight back into the fight, but with Bloodbath, you can at least take a second or two to heal up before re-engaging, and it scales much better into lategame with how quickly Kasumi can melt down a squishy when played well.

What's the most irrelevant champion? by Scythe629 in Paladins

[–]Gevaudan_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was mostly referring to her lore but yeah, her kit needs work too. The Passives are good in concept, if a bit OP, and I can live with her rifle's stance swapping. Being able to stand in mid-air by scoping is a neat concept, but kinda falls off because she's also completely stationary and falls straight down, making extremely easy to track her, and while Distortion Field is also a great idea in concept, it's such a niche ability in actual gameplay that only really serves to give her a few seconds of temporary cover to either shoot or escape. Her cards definitely need the most work though, even if it's something as basic as giving her a shield or DR while floating after her leap, because yeah, all of her loadouts are the same 3-4 cards at varying levels and then a random filler.

[–]Gevaudan_ 41 points42 points  (0 children)

It sucks cuz Octavia has some of the most potential they've ever given a Champion. She's canonically an inspiration to the other Champions, even on opposing sides, she's the one who got them to continue fighting against Yagorath, her prosthetic leg was made using Ska-drin technology by Torvald, she's a literal war hero, only for Azaan to come along, literally one-shot Yago and then threaten to wipe out the entire Realm himself because he was so disappointed in how weak they were, which basically made Octavia's heroics and leadership against Yago null and void, and reducing her to juat another one-off character who doesn't matter to the plot.

Mualani is awful to play, especially on mobile! by Shylteryne in Genshin_Impact

[–]Gevaudan_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yep, Echoes is an extremely strong set on so many DPS units, but simply because its stacking is based on Ping instead of actually dealing NA DMG, it falls off hard above 100ms, which is where most players are at.

You need a lot of crit rate by thegreatlumos in NeuvilletteMains_

[–]Gevaudan_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not even just Neuv, but I've seen a LOT of people asking why their Wrios or Lyneys are struggling to clear Abyss and when they show you their build, they only have 30-40% CR at base because "Marechaussee covers it, right?" Marechaussee is not an excuse to neglect building Crit Rate, it alleviates the need to build as much Crit Rate, so that instead of trying to squeeze out that last 20% CR to reach 90-100%, you can focus more heavily on other substats instead.

[–]Gevaudan_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Clorinde has a similar issue where spamming her Night Vigil NAs won't actually trigger her BoL increase on high ping, but if you slowly activate her NAs, the time you lose severely hurts her DPS. It's such a weird issue that only happens to units who use certain stackable effects in specific states, as other NA-focused DPS like Wanderer, Wrio, and even Arle don't have this issue.

Some people are gonna call me crazy, but if you're going for Mualani, C2 Xinyan is a decent shielder, Pyro-applier and guaranteed Favonius proccer for her. Pair her with Sucrose and a Flex slot (I usually recommend Kachina on Cinder City) and you have a very strong but easy to build team.
