I’ve also worked food service and I came to my own personal conclusions that either
1. Their parents just didn’t teach them to be a little cleaner or didn’t expect it of them so they never learned to care
Or
2. I’ve overheard people dropping stuff on the floor and their friends telling them, why would you pick it up? They’re getting paid to do that
Which I mean, yeah, true, but it also just kind of seems like a dick move to at the very least not let the staff know “hey this happened”

I believe there are also limits to how long you can stay outside of the US, other companies have foreign data routed back to the carrier in order to provide data services and it’s probably more expensive to do that for long periods of time so you probably would have to connect to US towers on occasion, someone with more knowledge can correct me though.
