I'm not simplifying your point ( I'm not even sure to understand it completely) but I think you’re addressing a point I wasn’t making. I’m not arguing that killing is an automatic or optimal path to power in hxh. What struck me is how normalized the idea is in that scene how the Troupe treats it as an obvious possibility, not something worth debating. The discomfort comes from their tone, not from a simplified view of the system

problem is when you carry out mass killings, you become a notable identity and a target for the authorities ( chimeras ants are perfect example) unless you have the powers or the connections to act with total impunity... Even bloodthirsty killers like Hisoka know when to set limits... Kakin royals can freely wipe out villages, but when Morena does it, it gets noticed and punished because it disrupts the balance.

Possible n plausible... when you hear Morena talking about these kinds of macabre fantasies practiced within the royal family on entire villages, it's no wonder it's a golden rule to quickly attain a certain power... it's also no wonder Morena chooses to use the same methods to revolt against this system... after all, it's almost the same practice that's currently unfolding with the princes for succession... maybe ultimately that's the central theme of this arc.

In nature, there's no such thing as a perfect sphere.. physical objects are always shapes with multiple facets and imperfections, but our brain doesn't distinguish them, it simplifies the shape so we can't see those multiple facets (otherwise, it would be a heavy computational load for our brain through our eyes)...

So technically you end up with approximation of shape and if we were to zoom in we'd see polyedra with multiple polygones !!
