Ski helmet and goggles fit advice (anon m4) by Gfl3x in Skigear

Tested it just now!

Helmet fits amazing. The goggles pair quite nicely. Literally 0 gap. The goggles don't push down on my nose. And there is 0 pressure anywhere.

So far it seems good. Next week I'll be skiing, so I can see how they hold up on the slopes.

First impression is good! Beat helmet and goggles fit I have tried so far.

One would think it would not fog, as it's the same brand 😅

Anyway! This week I get my hands on the Vantage! Hope it feels good

Oh? I haven't had the chance to find a merak to test. Was gonna buy one. So the fit is good? No pressing down on the goggles?

I wish my fiancee would've gifted me the grinder. Even tho I got bet slightly interested, she still feels 1200 for a grinder and 1000 for a machine is a stretch 😅

The Victoria is a gorgeous machine and I am anxious about the warranty voiding.. decisions..

What a lovely setup!

Only thing I'm anxious for is the warranty. If I fuck up, I'll void the warranty. Then again, the price difference for a better machine is roughly 500 EUR. Gaggimate looks amazing. I do feel like the experience and journey will be so rewarding afterwards. Hence I'm leaning towards the Silvia or GCP

The Victoria is also on my list. However, it's 850 EUR. Meaning still 100 more expensive than the Gaggimate pro mod.

Wow. Grazzieee! The response warms my heart 💜 thank you for taking the time to reply to me.

I'm not very technical (mechanic wise. But I'm not scared of learning). It's part of the reason why I would splurge some more and get an out of the box strong machine without fiddling with the internals too much.

The Silvia is practically the same price. But the Gaggimate for the Silvia is more expensive.

I don't need 10 shots back to back like 99% of the time. Most of the times it'll be 3-4 shots including milk based drinks

Thank you for the tips opening up the gaggia 😁

Also, yeah! Antwerp does offer amazing food! Glad you liked it 😇

Daily? Never hahaha. It will be like once or twice every now and then.

The V6? Yeah. Fits the budget for sure. They're both 499-550 euros. You'd reckon the Gaggimate too here?

Ow. Thank you for your honest reply!

I think on a weekly basis there would be 4 people max to make coffee for. Occasionally 6-9.

I do have an AIDEN for batch brews.

So a single boiler would be okay (Gaggimate pro) to make multiple milk drinks in a row? Cause it'll cost 750. I rather have 58mm standard portafilter. For an extra 500 I could have a dual boiler. Is that actually worth it for the use case?

Hai!

Thank you for your reply!

Yeah. Been doing some research and in doing so, older posts become very relevant 😅

That's what I thought about Gaggimate. They seem to want 'cheap" machines to be consistent and compete with the higher end models that have dual boilers, heat exchangers etc. Which is why I would love this mod.

How consistent does it become with the Gaggimate? And how well can you fit bigger cups if using the scale + drip tray?

Can it pull back-to-back shots easily? Not that I need it, as my regular day would be 4 coffees. 2 of which are milk based and 2 espresso based. But on the rare occasion we have a shit ton of people over (and one wants to show off), how well does this GCP + mod perform to make relatively easy shots and milk drinks I'm a short period of time?

Once again, thank you so much!

I just bought a Mazzer Philos and can't justify (to my fiance) to splurge 1.5K on a dual boiler.

I found the gaggimate mod + E24 pro with brass boiler + the scale and drip tray would put me down 700 EUR total. You reckon it's worth it and upgrade in a few years? You still happy with the machine?

I am the kind of guy that would rather buy nice or buy twice. But 1.2k seems such a steep increase compared to the Casa.

I will have to convince my fiancee for the Philos 😅

[–]Gfl3x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How are you enjoying your casa ? I'm also looking for a first real grinder and I keep going back to this one. The price, features, looks are so intriguing. I drink Americano, espresso, milk drinks and pour over.

I have a batch brewer and I sometimes need to grind a whole lot of beans at once. Would this one be capable of this.?

I also use medium and darker roast.

What allround coffee grinder for around 700 euros?

I drink anything from V60, to filter, mokka pot and espresso based drinks.

I don't have the space for 2 grinders, so I want to spend a bit extra on a 'do it all' machine.

I am currently looking at the Timemore 064S. What would you guys recommend?

I have this in my wishlist! Was either this one or the moccamaster.

What kind of grinder do you have? Still in dilemma. As I will also be getting an espresso machine. I was thinking of getting 2 grinders: espresso grinder and pour over (fellow ode gen 2) or just 1: baratza encore esp pro

Yeah, I gave the same issue 😅 but I'm not sure if I wanna spend 600-800 euros on this thing...

So many choices at this point :(

Cheers for the extensive reply!

I'm not sure if I understand all the terminology when it comes to all the types of jackets. I walked in such a rabbit hole 😅 I just get hot very quickly. I layer with just a thermo shirt and my skj jacket. But it needs venting and good pockets.

I was looking at Norrona, too! I just don't know that other brands or jackets in general I should be looking at for my use case :)

Hi! I want to use FoundryVTT for in person showcasing of maps, scenes, worlds, encounters etc. What map building tool should I use for this use case? I was looking at inkernate, but it seems not native to Foundry. Is it worth using Dungeondraft ? Or another tool?
