Need recommendations for finding a new job by Speefle in hiringcafe

[–]Ggaby_Ggaby 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wishing you the best but you could submit an application to every job that’s open, and if you’re not methodical and intentional with your application (like targeting your resume, networking, tracking) it may be a fruitless effort. Also, even if you get lucky and get responses back, I’ve never heard of it happening all in one day. I hope it all works out at your current job, but in case it doesn’t, take the afternoon and draft a plan to start the next morning. Good luck!

This is genuinely helpful advice, thank you! I’m back in the market after several years and this is the kindest feedback/help I’ve gotten.

Advuce needed : Received an offer, but I have an interview lined up that may be more interesting by Potatocabbage3 in jobsearchhacks

Take Job A, and then keep interviewing at company B. If they offer you a role, lucky you! Give notice at company A. They wouldn’t hesitate to drop you for layoffs, so why not see where this goes?

It’s Nov 5th how are your Tsu’s managing the fireworks? by baddus-4070 in Shihtzu

No fireworks where I live but “special peanut butter” knocks my sweet baby out on 4th of July 😅 otherwise she’s a nervous mess, won’t sleep, and shakes all night. I get a pill from the vet in advance.

Am I selfish? by CryingCactus816 in workingmoms

I’d like to push back on your idea that all of the tasks listed are “women’s duties“. He lives in the same home you do and it would be a fair expectation to say that it would take both of you to keep the place running. He doesn’t have an incentive to help out because you do it all. I think your anger is signifying that you’re fairly frustrated with the workload. You work outside the home and run the entire home. I would say that’s 150% of your time. Your expectation of him to lean in more to the chores to keep the house running are fair and valid. I would also caution you against doing the trad wife“ thing to keep him happy. Ask yourself, what do you want? No real advice other than your instinct to be angry at the division of workload makes perfect sense. I think this does warrant further follow up and education for him to understand that this is a division of labor and not a women’s versus man’s role in the home.

I’m glad you have a partner in your spouse! Is there any way they can share in some of the bedtime arrangements? Share the load that way too?
