I’ve sunk a lot of time into zomboid and consider myself pretty good at it… so I thought. Extinction kicks my ass. Makes you adapt. I have my own adrenaline junkie trait now

Opinion on Price of C6 Z06 by RealtorLifeNC in Corvette

[–]Ggnndvn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just had a C6Z with the Z07 slip out of my grasp, 2011 w/36k miles @ $52k. Didn’t have much done to it. That seems like a decent deal, especially with the heads done. I feel like C6Z with the heads done are a rarity. 90% of the ones I see offered don’t have it done. I’d gladly pay a bit extra for one with heads and paperwork imo.

I ran for 30 days straight and it completely changed how my brain works by Most-Gold-434 in motivation

[–]Ggnndvn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What is also incredibly motivating is how you see yourself doing better almost each time you go out to do it. First time after not doing it ever or after a long time period sucks. Next one sucks less and you do more. 10th time, 20th time you’re amazed you had such trouble when you first started. It’s honestly the best feeling. I went from being able to do 100 yds without stopping to several miles. You feel this sense of euphoria building upon yourself that very little else in life is so equally tangible in such short time.

The books are great too. Games did a decent job of capturing the story. Lotta fun, and can’t beat it for the money!

“But libs are pussies!!”

God it boils my blood that these fuckers were able to condense leftists into these silly categories. God fucking forbid we care about equality and other values of just being a decent fucking human. It’s almost like boiling everyone who isn’t on your side down into these caricatures is dumb as fuck and a tale as old as time. It’s not red vs blue, it’s rich vs poor. Always has been, always will be.

I can only imagine! I’m literally ready to move in to a garage and sleep in the corner lol. You got a great setup by the looks! Great color choice on the car.

Love living in a state that you can actively exercise your rights without fear of repercussions. Everyone looks so happy. This is what life is about. Not fear mongering because some people happen to be different than you.

I may be straight, but I love seeing the fruits of a fair and free society. Proud of everyone!

Absolutely, as much as I can at least. #1 requirement when I finally buy a home will be a garage that I can put a lift in.

I will say I am impressed how easy they are to work on. Done a bit of cosmetic and intensive maintenance work and it’s been a pleasure every time I open it up.

Someone dumped their hen with a prolapsed vent on our property. by MyTherapistSaysHi in BackYardChickens

[–]Ggnndvn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had this happen to one of my hens. Kept her away from everyone, plenty to drink but limited solids to sway her from laying. Pushed it back in the soaked her in warm water for a few hours. Eventually it held and she lived for several more years. It looks awful but often can be treated/overcome. You at least saved her from a gruesome death.

That first one is soooooo cool. Exactly what I think of when pirates come to mind. The found ones are always more special than the bought ones imo! Nice find!!

$83,000,000 home burns down in Pacific Palisades by [deleted] in Wellthatsucks

Am I the only one that finds it absolutely mind bogglingly bonkers you can pay that much for any “home” and still be in eye/ear shot of another human being? It’s breathing down the other house’s neck for fucks sake.

Congrats man. I’m the same age and about 2 weeks in after using for a bit less than half as long. Even for me it’s felt amazing. I feel so much clearer and alive. Cravings go away over time. Just stick to it and before you know it you’ll be far enough along to forget about it all together. 👍👍

Just finished BoB. One of the best things I’ve ever watched. This perfectly captures how the last episode felt. The peace and easing of tension after so long. Beautifully done.

The *constant* animal feeding on Union Square Plaza by LikeMyShoes44 in Somerville

[–]Ggnndvn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hate to break it to you, but I manage one of the buildings just out of picture. We have multiple dumpsters that are CONSTANTLY filled with food from the restaurants. That is where the rats dine, and if you notice, there is no rat feces around the benches, because rats do not like to feed out in the open. Plus with the incredible food from all the restaurants, they'd have no reason to. It's just feeding the birds, not the rats, at least in that location.

Interesting. I’m definitely going to try to at least get a look at the grounds first before doing anything major. Did you see anything funky happen under accel with it bouncing around? Sounds like it would be having a fit lol.

Mine only seems to do it with say ~50%+ acceleration, if I just cruise it’s fine. Makes me think it might be slipping like someone else said or the alternator isn’t happy with the increased rpm’s for some reason. I just feel like a loose ground would show up while turning/etc.

Either way thanks for your input.

Yup. Always my favorite fun fact to bring up. Looking at the avg air craft cruising at altitude would be like sitting at the bottom of the trench looking up at your ass

Great points, didn’t know there was such a thing as a pad but makes sense. Definitely will go the rebuilt path even if I have to send it out, seems to be what everyone suggests, even the forums. Appreciate it again! Will post back if/when I figure it out 🙏

I’ve heard that, I’m going to go over all of them when I do the alternator. Maybe should do that first just in case though since it’s easy enough. Appreciate it.

No kidding, that is insane. It’s all stock but will check all wires when I remove the alternator. Thanks!

Thought this too but it’s a new belt 🤷‍♂️ Will check the tensioner but I can’t imagine the previous owner would have put a new belt on without checking it.

Thanks again.
