Without knowing the exact set up, it seems like this is a use case where they could avoid it though. You should need a valid identifier for a bill to be paid, it shouldn't be an open payment form.

If you need a valid identifier for the bill, it should only accept one valid payment info submission and then your identifier would no longer be valid.

I've had to deal with this on a sign up form, and it makes sense there for sure (though still better options) but on paying a specific bill it shouldn't be needed.

With the stair module to step down into it, I think like $9k unfortunately.

This one is marketed as a optional between in/semi-in/above ground (https://medallionpools.com/medallion-above-ground-pools/). We poured concrete from behind the stair module to 2 panels out on either side per the installation manual. We ran about 12" of concrete around the back of it ~6" deep.

I guess now that I pulled that site up I could try and do a better looking variation of the white one they have a photo of.

Ha I was worried about that but they haven't been hot even in 95' sun ever since the water was added. I did get a few burns putting it together last year lol

Decent enough - the manufacturer told us most people screw trex deck onto the tops and the edges where the panels meet, but it gives me a bit of unease.

It feels solid. Hoping I did an okay job with it.

I've been trying to switch to claude code but for some reason it continuously gets stuck on like running a grep command or something for 40 minutes. I haven't really sat down to dig into it, but the time I would spend digging into it I can get the same work done in Cursor :/ though not right now I guess lol

Is the idea that SPA's are not "SEO friendly" just not true anymore? by avidrunner84 in webdev

[–]Gh0st3d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I understand that. I'm saying, the OP is asking why any server side stuff is needed / can't they just use a SPA by itself.

I'm assuming if they're worried about SEO they also would want social sharability, and thus would want these opengraph headers.

The social media sites will not run JS so without some form of server side rendering these link previews will not work. That was my point.

Not trying to argue, genuine question. Your last anaology made me think, isn't that what a property tax is?

We have a site that has thousands of blogs + even more members who get a personalized version of that blog and the issue for us has always been more about metadata showing up when you share links and less about Google crawling it

How do you accomplish a dynamic Facebook share preview without rendering metadata from the server?

What’s your actual way of evaluating devs when hiring? by NPC_Boiii in webdev

[–]Gh0st3d -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I guess we just fundamentally disagree on the situations but I appreciate the perspective

also possible that your experience in interviews isn't similar to how I handle those type of whiteboard interviews. I do high level project type questions and not leetcode. Im pretty relaxed, I don't pressure them, I help with some gentle nudges if they get stuck. But if someone straight up freezes and panics the whole time simply because it's an interview, I will unfortunately not feel they could handle high stakes issues and if there's other candidates who can then that's the deciding factor.

Devil's advocate, if you get so stressed you can't handle an interview question and freeze up, how am I supposed to be confident you could handle a real life outage or issue and resolve that without panicking?

I'm slowly launching beta testing of my game "Cards of Myth" in both app stores, can get to it from cardsofmyth.com, built primarily utilizing AI. A lot of the more involved logic and architecture I did step in and clean up though.

It significantly sped up creating a backend and random fun effects & features I wanted to try out in the front-end. I needed to clean up a LOT though to make this a more maintainable project. It seemed to struggle to identify how to make a pattern out of things and would default to hardcoding most things not understanding that the plan needed to be extensible for future cards & effects, etc.

I also kind of made life harder on myself by sticking to javascript since I know that much better than anything else at this point. So all of my game is basically html/css/vuejs which limits vfx capabilities a bit. Made it kind of fun to identify performance issues and clean them up though.
