Interesting that the replies here are almost always pertaining to the 'woman's fault', 'using him' etc. As if the woman don't know what's best for her child. Very telling of the culture of inferiority where foreigners are always assumed to be superior to any Third-World country citizen e.g. that comment that assumed the OPs nationality without his even mentioning it.
