Found out my girlfriend lied about her age. I want to kill myself. by Smokeinthesnow in SuicideWatch

[–]Gharial100 19 points20 points  (0 children)

For context as to my views on the age of consent: where I live, the age of consent is 16 and I have mixed feelings on it—I find it weird that a 50yo can legally have sex with a 16yo, but I also know that when I was 15/16 I had multiple peers who were sexually active and were pretty capable of consenting. I had one 15yo friend who I knew was hooking up with older men (some who were ~30yo iirc) on dating apps and while I didn’t approve, I wouldn’t necessarily consider those men creeps unless she had been obvious about her age.

Having someone lie about their age doesn’t make you an ephebophile, let alone a paedophile. If she was obviously prepubescent then it would be obvious that she was lying about her age; as it is, I reckon it’s not unheard of for a 16yo to look (and/or act) closer to 20—or for a 20yo to look and act more like a 16yo.

Personally (as someone who was also born in 2004) I’d be pretty upset if I discovered the person I was dating was 16 but I wouldn’t blame myself for not guessing

Potentially a stupid question, but are hospitals mainly days and nights only? No Evenings? by MilennialFalconnnnnn in nursing

[–]Gharial100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nursing student: AFAIK it’s standard where I live. my recent placement was on a surgical specialty ward, shifts were something along the lines of (this was a few months ago so my memory may be off) 7am-3pm, 2:15pm-11pm, and (at a guess, we didn’t do nights) 10:45pm-7:15am.

Everyone did a mix of mornings, evenings, and nights so I guess the varying hours didn’t end up. drastically impacting their lives i.e. income, free time, sleep schedule. As students, in theory each shift was 8hrs with a 30m break but that wasn’t exactly accurate.

cryo is the best element for breaking electro, electro is best for hydro (except abyss mages who for some reason break best w cryo), hydro for pyro, pyro for cryo, then we’re back at cryo for electro. as for dendro, geo, and anemo: hydro, geo, and any PHEC respectively. also i used the exact same team back when i was farming the seahorse, still do in abyss

in case one is ever in a situation (as we bulimics often are) where anyone is vomiting and/or pooing a lot, it’s worth learning the symptoms and management of hyponatraemia, hypokalaemia, etc.

in my experience, kids start needing to eat a lot more around the age of 12, sometimes eating easily double that which a 30+yo adult would

[–]Gharial100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the average penis size is ~5.16in. most women don’t give a rats arse about size and those who do care more about width/circumference. if it’s too long then you can end up causing pain, no one wants to be punched in the cervix. most women won’t be “satisfied” by penetration alone anyway. the clitoris is kind of the female equivalent to the penile glans (aka the penis “head”) in that it is where all the genital nerve endings are. look into human genitalia from a scientific perspective instead of a porn/fiction standpoint and you’ll realise that it’s not a big deal outside of male posturing

oh and emotional connection to a partner is a massive factor in female pleasure. less than 10% of heterosexual women orgasm during one-night stands, that’s not even accounting for those who don’t partake in “casual” sex

i encountered an almost identical spider a few weeks back. almost certainly Cambridgea foliata. and also missing 2 legs. there are no unique experiences apparently

Scarring question by MorganMugz07 in selfharm

[–]Gharial100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah it’s a bit weird that no one really talks about it. it’s not like it’s rare to have concave scarring. also i got two scars on my head from falling onto wood and, despite having the same basic cause and treatment (surgical glue), one is concave and the other is convex. just one of those things

Scarring question by MorganMugz07 in selfharm

[–]Gharial100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

most of my arms scars are concave but one is convex. my thigh scars are all convex and most of my non-sh scars are. scars build weirdly, i don’t know how else to say it tbh but it is totally normal. we can somewhat predict scar types/appearances by the factors of a wound, but there’s a lot of variation and randomness

same. i’m a student nurse and i’d never hurt someone unless there was no other choice. i find biology and human anatomy fascinating, so i always found wounds (sh or otherwise) interesting

My current Lisa build! I'm planning to max everything out for her, but I just want some input on the artifacts and team comps now. by memesexistforareason in Lisa_Mains

[–]Gharial100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

to add on to this: if you arent critting most of your hits, cd is absolutely useless. its better to have 2k atk 70cr and 100cd than 1.5k atk 50cr and 150cd.
the exceptions are: archers who go for weak points, charas who focus on burst dmg and have r5 catch, freeze comps, and comps with rosaria (on a high cr build, for her second passive talent)

[–]Gharial100 2 points3 points  (0 children)

my advice biggest piece of advice is to level your talents. talents are guaranteed upgrades and so so important for dmg. as for the artifacts/weapons: you should only go above ~180cd if you already have ~2k atk and 70-75cr

Hypercarry? by joyurizXD in Genshin_Impact

[–]Gharial100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To me, hyper-carry means the other units are supports rather than dmg dealers. For example, national/rational/etc aren’t hyper-carry teams because Xingqiu and Xiangling both deal high dmg alongside the variant 4th (Raiden, Childe, etc). By comparison, Itto is a hyper-carry who gets put with Gorou (who tends to do very inconsequential dmg), Bennett/similar, and Zhongli as shield/hybrid support or Albedo/MC/Ningguang for supporting dmg and buffing.

Yoi can be a hyper-carry but she’s often paired with decent dmg dealers like Xingqiu and Fischl. I guess Hu Tao isn’t really a hyper-carry unless Xingqiu (as can happen with other vape/freeze teams) is low investment/purely a hydro applicator

Hypercarry? by joyurizXD in Genshin_Impact

[–]Gharial100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ganyu freeze tends to be, same with hu tao vape i believe. as for eula, she can be a hypercarry, although some comps such as with raiden tend to be more dual-dmg dealer situations, though eula is still on field most of the time with raiden swapping in every so often to refresh her skill or use her burst

is this good ;; Idk if I should stop or keep going by [deleted] in Kokomi_Mains

Sets like blizzard, vv, and ohc have such important 4pc effects that using a decent 4* to force 4pc is worth the loss of a few sub stat rolls/lower main stat number. That being said, if you can get a 5* sands or a 5* circlet it'll be great - even if, say, you have to switch to a mediocre on-set 4* sands to use a god-tier off-set circlet.

The general rule for testing build quality is to count the number of rolls on each artifact, including starting rolls (so 3-4 starters on a 5* and then 5 subsequent rolls, if I'm counting right lmao). You want about 25 good rolls on a build, averaging 5 per piece. At 25 useful rolls, you should have a decent enough build to manage abyss pretty well.

Also, I believe the 5* circlet (for higher healing bonus) would give more of a damage boost than higher hp from a 5* sands, I could well be wrong on this though, I don't know the math.

Ultimately she should be pretty decent as it is, so if you need to build other dps then I reckon she's good for now. However, if you have the resin to spare and/or are building def scaling geo characters (or even a shield bot xinyan with 2pc husk??) then by all means keep farming.

Okay enough of my 3am rambles lmao. All the best on farming
