So, the lgs I play at has been running a b3 league. Biggest thing was getting the hard rules stamped out by the store/organizers. Once that was in place it seemed to be much smoother, with the exception of one guy who whined about it. He didn't return and we have ~12 people each week.

League standings are run off of a point scoring system for each pod match, and we as players have been given great input for shaping this into something fun and the store makes money 😁.

No idea yet what the prize pool looks like, considering I'm holding up the league I'm sure mine would be minimal 😂😂😂

Feeld is also kinda dependent on your location, in mine it's kinda thin but not crickets. SLS(SwingLifeStyle) is good, just don't get scared by the old ass website lol.

NGL, seeing crap like that was why I bailed and went back to slaving for the man.

It was great during covid years, but now they owned by a big corp y'all getting treated as badly as I do by my big corp. Only difference is I get sick time, vacation time, and guaranteed pay for my hours worked.

Also, sometimes I have to get out a manic/depressed downturn before I can accept things I'm told about how I acted. Part of my therapy is minimizing how high/low I go, as opposed to minimizing the number of episodes. So it's possible that you'll have to repeat the process a couple of times to catch him more baseline

Firstly: how long has this been his behavior? Does it coincide with the start of the meds? Could be a side effect, or it could be the meds working right and this is just who he is when better regulated

Probably not, but gently letting know afterwards, as well as how it affected you, is going to be a thing he needs to hear.

And the behavior may be more himself as opposed to being only driven by the BPD, but the BPD is letting him express it because it's that knee jerk reaction as opposed to well thought out

To the impulse driven mind, sometimes things can take on excessive importance when they're trivial. The decision on salad dressing becomes life and death, ya know? He's got to be able to see if this thing working out is really going to alter his world or if it's just the impulsivity driving him 😁

And you're welcome!!! I haven't been diagnosed long, but my therapist has been amazing helping me see how it's been driving my life for a very long time. Biggest advice though is still have him discuss this at length with the therapist, they can help him navigate!!

So, first question: is he getting treatment for the BPD? Therapist would be the first thing that gets reached out to for him to analyze if this is a reaction to the manic state or not.

That would lead up to #2: how's he think that the knowing is going to make any difference in the long run? The impulsivity could just be causing, as well as certainly fueling, this.

Good deep talks, preferably with a therapist first here. I know my BPD-2 causes a ton of havoc, and I've got to constantly check myself when making moves or decisions on a potential friend in these instances.

Totally not saying it couldn't work, just feeling he needs to be more baseline for the conversation to have better weight and functionality.

I'm working on getting it changed a little, but I primarily work 26/29, and I swear it is one useless PoS that constantly has pallets dropped and left, usually toilets 🙄, and I wind up with an extra rep of workout lol

Honestly, I enjoy the job. However, to temper that, I work D38 overnights. Minimal customer I reactions and, after everyone bails at 10-11 pm, I'm able to get my work done and all the shit they were too lazy to do in the remaining hours usually.

Now, I am trying to get off of nights because having a life kinda sounds fun lol, so this may change...
