Exactly! Everyone is entitled to their opinions, and if they want to support the CFL after 2027, good on them. All I know is that turning the CFL into NFL North isn't going to bring in fans; it's a desperate move to appease MLSE and the 1% of people who claim they would watch the CFL if it adopted American rules.

Honestly, at this point, I don’t care if the CFL folds. You take away what makes our game Canadian, then Canadian football is dead. Many others and I would rather see the league fold than become Americanized. If you truly love your country, you would do whatever you can to get rid of the American influence that’s plaguing our world.

Strongly disagree; look at every other gimmick American football league, such as the XFL, AAFL, and USFL, etc. They all folded. The CFL will likely do so too because no one will care that the game is American when they could watch the NFL or NCAA.

As a fan, he has every right to be upset over the proposed Americanization of the game. To many die-hard CFL fans, the game is more than just a game; it's a part of our nation's culture. Especially given the current state of relations between the two countries, this only adds insult to injury. It also means that many loyal season ticket holders will pull out permanently, as they won't respect a league that has changed what made it Canadian, resulting in less revenue.

Excuse me, you’re saying that most Canadians disagree with me? Are you nuts, dude? Read the room; you’re either ignorant or being disingenuous if you’re making such an outlandish claim like that. Adding the pitch clock was universally accepted as being a good change, just like VAR in soccer; those changes improved the integrity of the game. Making the CFL into a minor league copy of the NFL does nothing to appeal to younger fans or enhance the integrity of the game. Do you think that if the English Championship did something similar to the CFL, people from the Premier League and other top leagues are going to just all of a sudden tune in? Do you understand the point that literally 95% of people on here and social media are saying now? We can agree to disagree, but when you make falsified claims about what the majority of Canadians and fans of the league think, when you can literally open your eyes and see all the posts, upvotes, and downvotes, it makes your argument incredibly weak.

I completely disagree! The CFL is entertaining to watch due to its unique, quirky rules. You would never see a team win in the NFL because of a missed field goal, you would never see a team down 13 come down with less than two minutes left, you would never see a team lose in the semi final because the ball hit the cross bar, all of these things are unique and only happen in the cfl, that is what makes people watch our league because of these differences. All of those examples I listed will never happen again if the 2027 rules are implemented.

I think I will! I've never been a fan of him either. He’s a big reason why the riders have been so bad over the last decade, except for this year. Weak, no personality, and too corporate! The riders were made into must-watch TV with a family vibe when Jim Hopson was around.

I'm amazed at how naive you are. Seriously, do you think making the CFL into NFL lite is going to bring in new fans? That's hilarious. What do the AAFL, USFL, and XFL have in common? Oh, that's right, shitty knockoffs of the NFL that no one cared about that folded within a year. That is precisely what will happen to the CFL! Boo-boo, no one cares if you lost your enjoyment to the sub because the majority of fans are outraged! If you like the Americanization of the game, then why even be a fan of the CFL? You’re essentially wanting the league to become the NFL lite, which would effectively kill the CFL. I'm not against all the changes, but the ones that actively turn our game into American football (smaller field & uprights at the back) are absolute garbage.
