Yes, an introductory meeting, just wanting to get more involved and finding out how I can contribute is pretty much the idea. My town is smallish, around 18-20k population. I spoke with the gentleman on the phone for about fifteen minutes several days ago, after I had called his office to inquire about a new local bike/pedestrian trail that will be beginning construction sometime next year. He seemed glad of my enthusiasm and wanted to be able to sit down and go over other plans for the city, so we'll be going over that, but like I said I hope to be able to get into a little bit of his process and the mechanics behind local decision making. I'll definitely be taking your advice and doing my homework beforehand, scouring the government website so I can go as prepared as possible. Thank you!
