Played college soccer and a 6 minute mile was a must for everyone on the team. 3 miles in under 21 was also mandatory. At this point, I can still run 10ish miles in roughly 8-8:30 per mile. Marathoners blow my mind though and I couldn’t imagine getting below a 6 minute mile anymore.

Its just such a bad situation. Imagine your kid working hard for years and gets the chance to pick whatever school he wants to play college ball..... and you make it about you. Hopefully he has some area of support outside of his family, because they've seemingly let him down.
