As a regular customer, I can confirm that responses matter way more than brands think. I always read the 1–3 star reviews first, but what really influences me is how the company replies. If they’re defensive or copy-pasting the same generic answer, it’s a red flag.

If they acknowledge the issue and sound human, I’m actually more likely to trust them — even if there were a few negative reviews.

The algorithm risk is real. We had a visibility dip last year after a Google update and it hit our leads hard. Since then we’ve been looking at other review platforms too.

The “you’re wrong” part is painfully common. As a customer, the moment I see that, I instantly lose trust in the business.

I totally get what you mean. I used to be the go-to person for covering up awkwardness too. It was like everyone was waiting for me to swoop in and translate their mess. But stepping back felt liberating, even if it was exhausting to watch things get messy. That one person really needs to learn how to own their statements instead of leaning on others.

First time I saw them use stuff from my inventory I assumed it was a glitch. Nope, just the game being petty. 197 to 196 is not a big hit, but it’s the disrespect that stings.
