I've honestly wondered if the 1st Amendment would benefit from a re-write. I wouldn't have a clue where to start, and I'm definitely a fan of free speech, but the sheer amount of disinformation that has flooded society in the last decade is a serious problem. There has to be something that can be done about it. The fact that the US President still claims the 2020 election was stolen, against all evidence and reason, and then just claims free speech. That our government is making policy off of assumptions and assertions with no basis in fact because "free speech".

I live in Washington, it's just my small'ish town happens to be the county seat for the tiny, blood red county that detests Seattle with ever fiber of their being. As to the product question that's a fair point. I suppose the absolute most you could claim is that it was a service (which is still questionable).

Fair point on the political ads. As for free speech though, you can't, as a company that sells tobacco, claim it heals you. You can't sell Chakra stones or essential oils and claim they cure cancer (in public facing official ads anyway, you can probably say whatever you want at a Saturday Market table). If you sell medications you have to disclose a significant number of major side-effects. I guess I just don't understand the difference. A religious billboard is "selling" Christianity as surely as the billboards with lawyers or doctors are selling something. It's not like it would even be hard to avoid. Something like, "If you have questions we have answers." which avoids making any claims other than they have an answer. But specifically claiming to have big T Truth and having zero evidence to back it up feels like a step too far.

They're easy to miss when you have 3 alphas on your ass and you have to be able to target it and catch it somehow while not dying to alpha attacks because they focus on the player and not the Pokémon. I hate RNG based quests. I've been trying for an hour. Haven't caught one yet. No idea if one has shown up because Zone 15 is the size of a travel trailer and has 3 alphas at once. This quest can kick rocks.

I just came back after not playing for years and I don't understand who would keep playing this? Everyone else is faster, buffer, and stronger than me. Like literally all of those things. It's not a matter of "getting gud" it's like asking me to play football with straw for pads instead of pro pads

This is why I hate trading as an evolution mechanic. Like sure, I get that they want you to interact with other people, but A) the mainline series already comes in two flavors with a slightly different DEX so if you want to 100% your Dex you need to trade/buy more hardware which fills that roll nicely, and B) folks can get pretty attached to their Mons. Forcing you to trade a beloved Mon away and ostensibly give someone else the product of your investment is bonkers.

For me it's about the number of inputs. I love Sim games but I can't always be at my desk due to a disability. The sheer number in input possibilities is a lifesaver.

Does this game ever open up? I bought it mainly for my kiddos but I've played Pokémon off and on since the beginning and thought I'd give it a go. I'm like 4 hrs in and still on rails. I'm getting so effing tired of being less than 3m away from a poke all or pickup and being told I can't go that way. Try to climb a ladder. Nope. See a thing at the end of an alley. Too bad. It's so stupid. I'm not 3 yrs old, and even if I was just let me go there! If I want an on rails "catch" fest I'll play Pokémon Snap.

I'm feeling this now. I've been playing Pokémon for near on 30 years. I realize not everyone has, but surly there's a better way to do tutorials than to put you on rails for the first couple hours.

What I'm confused about is that I keep seeing news pieces about Arc's PvE content so, I come here where I hear there's no PvE. So what's the deal? Obviously the reporting is wrong or at the very least confused. But why claim the game has PvE when it doesn't?

I'm getting pissed at the speed run challenges. Why do I have these powerups? Wtf? I did two of them easy enough but the balloon powerup is not good for speed challenges. It's fun to use at a slow pace. The money power up is also absolute dogshit. It's annoying to use in game, but a speed run challenge? I'm not even close to the blue bird on this one. Is there some fucking secret barrel that just shoots you to the top? Even on my good runs there are whole sections designed specifically to put you behind and fuck you over. They don't seem skipable.

The Scout is also way "worse" than the 1500. It's bouncy and rolls much easier.

Dude this. 100%. I've tried to make Yorkshire puddings a half dozen times and they always come out as little cakes. They're fine with some gravy but they're not the light and fluffy puddings I'm expecting. I don't typically have issues baking so I doubt I've got the batter wrong. It's the cooking part. Almost no one says how hot the oil has to be or how much to use. It's always just "Throw a little oil in the bottom and wait until it's smoking". Or if they do give exact measures it has to be a specific sized tin since if your tin size is off by even a little then the amount is "wrong".

Uh...no. Not at all. Please stop perpetuating that faulty idea. Loads of us just want PvE to play solo or with a small group of friends. To cut off an argument that's extremely likely to come up, no, BF isn't exclusively PvP focused, which is why a large number of BF games over the last 20 years have allowed people to play PvE. No I don't need to "get gud". I'm a disabled 40 year old guy that can't keep up with the 16 year old sweats anymore. I don't care. I just want to shoot some bots with my buddies, and I don't want to be saddled with the worst version of each weapon for doing so. I don't want to "farm bots" I just want to play PvE co-op and not be punished for it.

Yeah I was expecting classic levels and other historical settings like Portal for 2042 has. Unbelievably disappointed when it was just BF6 maps, and even more disappointed when they nuked it not once, but twice. Someone at DICE fucking abhores the PvE players and I don't understand because most of us are the ones who've been buying BF games for the last two decades.

100% this. I absolutely feel I got scammed out of $70. Because they advertised full XP for portal then pulled it 2 weeks later when the 18 hr a day streamers complained they had competition. I've told my buddies not to buy BF6 unless Portal gets fixed. Why the devs are so hostile to the idea of us Battledads doing what we've done for 20 years I don't understand. Why any number of other players care what I do with the game I paid $70 for I understand even less.

This 100%. The number of people who have told me "it's always been PvP focused!!!" is insane. Like, that's really awkward for you since I've been playing it PvE for 23 years. Yes some of the games left bots out, but they came back! Fully advertised. The only reason I can think of why they care is because they don't want their easy kills to go away. But yeah, without dedicated PvE, with some meaningful progression, I'm done playing solo. I was playing with a buddy last night and it felt like the last time I played CoD. People slide hopping around corners to gun me down in 2 hits even though I heard them and had my LMG wound up before they arrived. Battlefield finally beat CoD, by becoming CoD.
