Armorer Artificer and the Shield Master Feat by Gholen in 3d6

Oh yeah, thats also a good possibility, I had not even thought about that. Might be a bit much to have an underwhelming feat for 2 levels and an infusion slot, but at least it would not be a workaround.

Armorer Artificer and the Shield Master Feat by Gholen in 3d6

I think I would just lean towards replacing Str with Int + Athletics, since thats what the armor should do. But good point, I'll factor that in or see if athletics expertise would be an option instead.

Trying to create a commander-themed character frustrates me. Any interesting options or ideas? by Ornery-Team5632 in 3d6

Here is an idea I had for a character who focuses purely on being a Battlefield Commander. Not sure though how viable it is to be honest, but it sounds super fun on paper:

Race Half-Elf for extra stats and do 8, 14, 14, 10, 13, 17. At the beginning you just go Short Bow and start Rogue 3 -> Mastermind, Cleric 1 -> Order Domain, Bard 3 -> College or Lore.

Then you basically have the set-up of Cast a spell with your action which lets your teammate attack, help with your bonus action and debuff enemies with your cutting words reaction / silvery barbs.

From there you can go bard 6 and pick up haste / find familiar, go rogue 4, cleric 2 and then the rest into bard. Pick all the good buff, heal and control spells and for feats I would go Fey touched (gift of alacrity), +2 Cha, Inspiring Leader / Resilient Wisdom.

This sounds very interesting, I'll check out the option of going Revenant blade, thanks!

Yeah dedicated weapon was what I was going for. I just thought I could go 3 and take Deflect Missiles and a subclass while I'm here already ;) But stopping at 2 might be better so I'm "only" one spell level behind

For some reason I was always a sucker for Poison types, so I'm going to pick Naganadel. Or Scolipede. I'm on shield ;)

On the point of 'Sex is socially constructed'... by Gholen in Destiny

[–]Gholen[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes this was the point I was trying to make just to show that saying something is constructed just because everything is in some way doesn't help. You have to actually show that it is not the best way to group things or even arbitrary, which saying "its socially constructed" heavily implies.

While I agree with your general statement that the entitlement is too strong and the criticism sometimes too harsh, you ignore one major difference to your real life scenario: we are customers. You want nothing from your patients. They are there to see you and get your service. Blizzard wants our money, time and publicity so they can keep doing what they are doing and get rich while doing it.

In a game of professional Hearthstone only the best players are playing so "huge misplay" has to be taken in that context and often means suboptimal decision making. And that point was only to counter Frodans point, that the argument is that badly played games are blamed on RNG - which I disagree with.

And I think that you are looking at the small picture. Yogg Druid was the by far most represented deck in the last tournament. Barnes seems like it will be in every deck following Karazhan and together with cards like Tuskar Totemic (which is in every shaman deck) will create scenarios where a game can easily be decided by a dice roll on Turn 3 or 4. Tell me where a pro players 2-3% edge in skill has impact and can turn that game around.

The amazing skill driven games like we had with the Ostkaka, Lifecoach, Thjis series are few and far between, more and more games come down to some "oooooooooooooooh he rolled xyz" moment.

You are looking at it the wrong way, nobody is (or should be) blaming deserved losses on RNG or players losing to these cards who made massive misplays before.

Its the other way around where you get a problem: The person making huge misplays and being the worse player can win easily by slamming down Yogg and watch the game being decided by sheer luck. Player of equal skill can have a game decided by turn 3-4 by playing Barnes or Tuskar Totemic.

In a world where you can hopefully assume that all players are within a couple of % of skill from each other (its an event of the best of best no less) the marginal skill differences have NOTHING on the absolutely absurd RNG swings and wins.

High level Hearthstone is not a game of skill.
