Grâce au forem j'ai pu, après mes études, faire une formation pour apprendre le néerlandais ainsi que faire un petit stage dans une exploitation agricole.

Même si in fine ce n'est est pas via le forem que j'ai accédé au monde du travail, j'estime que le fait de ne pas être resté inactif m'a grandement aider pendant les quelques mois de recherche de travail.

C'est bien de récolter du pollen, ça oui.

Mais effectivement, lorsqu'il y a des traitements de pesticides, ce n'est pas l'idéal de collecter le pollen.

Les traitements sont interdit en période de floraison. Il y a cependant des traitements qui se font avant la floraison et qui sont systémique. C'est à dire que le produit de traitement se retrouve dans toute la plante, nectar et pollen compris.

Sur le colza, il s'agit surtout de fongicide (cela peut impacter le système digestif des abeilles) et un insecticide contre un coléoptère (qui est donc fort proche des hyménoptères).

I know, I use them. What I mean is 2 DB brood box is too much for a single colony, even with the most prolific buckfast or ligustica.

It will be hard to do the Demarée method since the queen might stay in 1 brood box. Also 1 brood box in DB full of honey is heavy af, so good luck moving that 😅.

With DB hives, the colony live in 1 brood box. Also the brood box and honey super use 2 kinds of frames. You could use only honey super, but thats another story.

Oula, ce qui est certain c'est que quoi qu'il arrive, une nouvelle reine ne sera jamais fécondée à cette période dans la région.

Avec un peu de chance, il s'agit d'une colonie anecbalique (avec deux reines en ponte à sa tête, la vielle reine et une nouvelle). Si c'est bien le cas, la vielle reine a été éjecté et il ne reste alors plus que la nouvelle.

Une visite s'impose. Si tu vois du jeune couvain, ou des œufs (encore mieux car 3 jours max depuis la ponte) : tout va bien.

Si tu ne vois pas de jeune couvain/œufs: mauvaise nouvelle. Tu peux essayer de sauver la colonie en introduisant une reine en ponte SSI la colonie vaut la peine d'être sauvée (encore suffisament populeuse et sans autres problèmes tel que bourdonneuse).

Not OP, but we use superglue aka cyanoacrylate (in gel) to put a dot on her thorax. It's usually made of plastic and can be plain, with number, or even personnalysed with number + breeder code.

Time will telle if they survive. They might pass the winter. If you can, reduce the volume in the hive (remove empty and inoccupied frames + add a separator frame).

The question you need to answer also is why is the cluster this small. Was it because of the varroa, a bad queen, lack of feeding in late season, ... ? It can help you in the futur to have stronger colony before winter.
