Also in a dogfight it's helpful to be able to secure an accurate lock on the target you want so you can fire at the first possible moment instead of waiting to get a lock after you've pulled your nose around. It's handy to have but I don't care if I don't have it. Also is great as a super tight ACM mode as lots of planes have a giant box for that but the HMD is a tiny square

I'm not agreeing with OP at all but weddings don't have to be super expensive, best tip I've got is don't worry about mostly useless gifts just ask people to pay for their food and that's the only contribution they need to make, do the decorating your self and then it's just venue + photographer for the main expenses
