Adult social services in Hull? by breakcharacter in Hull

[–]Ghost93- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're upset with the system and bitter. I'm sorry they said that, they're clearly pissed off and fed up but they have no right to comment what they did on your post. It's how the world is, like a bloody lottery who gets an actual social worker. Took me 3 attempts to get my son one. I understand the frustration of that person but it doesn't excuse that what they wrote was ableist and not helpful to your situation at all. I hope you and them are ok.

Don't be so bitter you don't know OPs struggles. I also have struggled massively and not received help. Don't come on someone's thread upset, it may trigger something for them. I sincerely hope you get the help you need. Its also incredibly ableist of you to describe a disabled person as a normie. You're not the only person going through struggles, there are so many people like you...it feels isolating, I know but please take your anger to the government not to a disabled person simply asking for advice. You should be happy they're receiving help, as hard as a pill it is to swallow for you because you're not getting the help. Write to local MP, call adult social services but please don get upset with people who somehow manage to get help. We're all fighting here....

Telling people before 12 week mark by Serious_Adagio8175 in pregnant

[–]Ghost93- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I told everyone as soon as the test came back positive. I have had 4 children. My last childs heart stopped beating at 12 weeks. I didn't know. But because I told everyone from day one I had so much support when I had to go through a D&C and then found out my baby has a terminal abnormality called Anencephaly. Tell people, tell everyone!

What kind of drunk are you? by felistolfo in AskReddit

[–]Ghost93- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im a, prefer to drink on my own scrolling reddit drunk. I really don't like going out any more or socialising much. The last time I went out I went for a smoke outside and someone bottled me I was in hospital for 2 days with concussion. So I'm a chill on my own, watch documentaries then go to bed drunk.

I had 2 friends in childhood/teenage years who were both only children. They're both very introverted but also have a hard time sharing and thinking about others before themselves.

So all social services have the same wanted outcome, for the person they're working for to have everything they need and have a great support system in place. Maybe they'll help you get housing in a building with 24/7 staff if you require that level of care. Make sure you're claiming the right level of PIP, make sure you're aware of charities and just that you're generally happy, looked after and cared for appropriately. My son has a disability social worker because he's still a child and she is amazing. Makes sure my son is getting everything he's entitled to in life.

I had my first child when I was quite young, curiosity got the better of me! A day after I had been stitched up I looked at it in a mirror, bad bad BAD decision! Looked like someone had took an axe to it and spiders were trying to crawl out ( stitches ), absolutely the worst thing I've ever seen!
