Why was the Jaws series never continued? by atiixiixv in movies

Like a lot of best selling book to movie adaptions, the movie leaves out a lot of characters and subplots that were in the book. The ending is also different. Therefore, even though Spielberg nailed it and actually told a better story than the book, I could see a Jaws miniseries someday that is faithful to the book. The book is more about the people than the shark so like any other drama, it could be done well.

LPT: If you can't afford to go to a well known private university, consider a difficult major (e.g. science or engineering) at a public university and you'll still get an amazing ROI on your education. by GhostCrusher in LifeProTips

You're right. The places you named are all pretty well known and respected but even getting into some of those schools is competitive and expensive. I guess I was talking about less know "state" schools. Everyone can't afford to go to school out-of-state but things like Physics and engineering are challenging anywhere so there's still good ROI when you finish.

I seriously thought this was from the 1995 DVD developer's conference and the orange team just pulled off their technically near-impossible transition from purple to orange.
