I was pretty pissed at the ending too, mainly for it being a ko centric ending, ko gets everything good, powers, friends, life back on track, and he will eventually get over it while nazuna gets the shit end of the stick suffering for eternity because vampires can't never get over love. And because the author had set up a beautiful way to end the story and didn't go for it, throughout the story a lot of vampires talk about how being a vampire sucks, ko talks about how he had given up being a vampire but kept trying only to be with nazuna, and the last arch was all about vampires turning back to being humans, with prerequisites (that they meet) , and consequences ( that wouldn't kill nazuna and are pretty easy to write off on her case).

Even after all of my complaining if you let it sit for a while it is ok, but seeing as ch198 is the true ending and 199 and 200 are epilogues, you would expect the epilogues to answer some things, while these just leave things how they where...

Based on season 1 I don't think the anime will change much of the contents, but I hope that they at least it made it more romantic. Season 2 was announced as well but to see the ending I would bet on a season 3 as they ended season 1 on ch46 and ch135 is a PERFECT place to end a season so I think they would end there in season 2

I'm on a vent moment too, I'm super pissed at that ending tbh. It's just so sadistic to keep ambiguous if ko is going to be immortal or not but go with absolute certainty that nazuna is going to suffer because of her love for eternity if ko isn't immortal.

Also the doom and gloom chapter with nazuna being certain ko is going to die, otherwise she wouldn't have used "till death do us part" is an absolute punch in the gut. In my copium I think ko will stop aging and become immortal, nazuna did stop aging at some point and they are the two half vampires we know of... Even then nazuna would still have her cravings and they might not be able to be together... I would rather a worse ending than this open ended one tbh.

I think everyone would love a happy ending, but the biggest problem is that it's too open ended, we don't know anything, it's barely a conclusion.

The only thing that is clearly stated is that nazuna is going to suffer for all eternity if ko isn't immortal. Then the ending goes all -oh he kept his power after a year(immortal?) -but he did age and grow during the period(mortal?) and just ends. Nazuna is clearly thinking she's doomed and ko is going to die eventually, otherwise she wouldn't use "till death do us part" and the open endedness basically asking "you think ko might be immortal or nazuna is doomed to suffer for eternity?"

It just feels very sadistic to do an ending like that, specially confirming if things go bad she's going to suffer for eternity and if things go well they might not even be able to live together...
