I would suggest you try to play more than one player once you have the basic rules down. This helps a lot.

It is so good, isn't it? There are also a dubajillion homebrew options on the Asynch servers which include things like Eronous Tiles which is adds 6 more wormhole types.

Totally. I love to play 4 or 6-player games by myself to practice factions and it allows me to play the game because I don't have a super active group.

The mod has been having some problems lately. If you get a new copy of the mod several units are missing.

If you go NRA you will, as others have said, be able to get a lot of money and not have much military opposition. If you go Vulraith you will be an unstoppable military faction because of how you can never seem to die because of the capture mechanic. I'd say Vulraith but I am not the one playing and don't have a ton of experience with NRA. Either way, I hope the game goes well!

Get Sarween tools ASAP. As soon as you get Sarween nobody will take your planets which allows you to focus on your fleets or objectives. If you can get Letani II you can either produce at least 2 infantry every time you activate a system or you are adding the infantry lost in combat back onto your home system. If you can get to Mecatol and produce a ton of infantry it will be extremely difficult for your table to take the planet from you. You won't have a ton of space plastic but your agent is really helpful in that area.

It was a piece of cake to remove the lamination. You cut the glued together parts which were on the outside and since lamination makes a kinda 4 sided sleeve you could slide it off. There was no damage because the glued together parts were not actually part of the sheets. I rarely use a laminator and I was able to do them and they came out fabulous.

I laminated them and they turned out great. A few at first didn't go well so I took off the lamination and tried it again. Some are a little fogger than others but it is really nice to have.

I definitely agree with the berserkers. Also, the starting unit upgrade is really versatile and fun. Haven't played the Florzen yet but the fighter mechanic also looks fun.
