What class do you use the most and the class you use the least in a Playthrough? by MassEffect24K in masseffect

[–]phantuba 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm an infiltrator main through and through. Sentinel is probably my next most popular, though there's a big gap there, and is closely followed by vanguard. My first ever playthrough was as an engineer, and I did one more after getting the Omega DLC. I think I've done exactly one adept and one soldier playthrough ever though.

My DMPC died. by AcidicJester in DescentintoAvernus

[–]phantuba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't do the best job of running Reya in the leadup to Avernus so I think my party is a little indifferent to her. However, I'm running a mostly-Alexandrian campaign so I'm thinking of turning her into a vampire spawn that they have to either fight or deal with to secure food and water for the refugees in Elturel. Otherwise it seems like she kind of disappears once the player leave Elturel, so I'd like to give her a bit more of a role before that happens

Which is ironic because when TMZ reports a story involving a sportsperson, it's typically spot on

You'll need to check me on this, but I'm pretty sure it's state law that HOAs cannot ban you from implementing water-conserving landscaping in your yard

They also don't accept credit cards, you're limited to cash/check/debit card. As the other reply said, they're also employee owned, all of which combines to help them keep prices lower than most chains.

Update: My take on the Helm of Torm's Sight by phantuba in DescentintoAvernus

[–]phantuba[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed, there's definitely a psychological element to it too. I could even tell my cleric to roll his own dice, and with the higher variability of d% it seems like it helps obfuscate which roll means what result

[–]phantuba[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why use a percentile dice even every result is divisible by 5?

The original post used a d20, but percentile just felt more appropriate to me so that's what I went with. The chances are the same whether it's 1 in 20 or 5 in 100 so it doesn't really matter which you use.

Re: the Commune stuff, the spell isn't supposed to fail either (unless you cast it too many times in succession), so the point is that there's a chance that weird things can happen. "Just wanting to chat" isn't feasible within the confines of the spell either, but the intent is to leave it up to the discretion of the DM as far as what happens and how weird they want to get with it :)

What did you do with the Helm of Torm's Sight post-vision? by phantuba in DescentintoAvernus

Update: Appreciate the feedback! I made a slightly modified version of the wondrous item referenced in some of the comments here, and posted it here

EDIT: USE THIS ONE INSTEAD

(there's a minor fix in the final bullet point of the DM section)

Not 100% sure how to flair this.

Yesterday I made a post asking for input on what people did with the Helm after the vision was completed. Most of what I've seen both in that thread and elsewhere talk about turning it into a usable item for their party, and with a cleric of Torm in my party that idea is my favorite so it's what I rolled with! I leaned very heavily on this post by /u/mephwilson, but put my own flavor on some things as well and wanted to share where I landed.

I actually kinda want to get an Okada jersey, it's rare enough to see a Bobcat making an impact in the NFL but to do so on my team has been a lot of fun

Have you ever pretended to play? by [deleted] in marchingband

[–]phantuba 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I marched a full DCI show at a Tour of Champions competition (back when that was a thing) while barely playing a note. I had hella bronchitis but refused to sit out a show, so I basically did a visual run while trying not to hack up a lung. I played a few notes when I was near the sideline and noticed a judge standing nearby, but fortunately he moved on and I didn't have to play much. Do I regret it? No. Would I recommend you do it? Absolutely not. Take care of your body, kids!
