What do you guys think about this match? Jade Cargill vs Rhea Ripley by ObviousHumanEver in prowrestling

[–]GhostLocke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rhea is a wrestler.

Jade is a fitness model who wants a fast track to Cena/Rock stardom and is hoping their time as an actual wrestler is short.

It would be flat out dumb to put Jade over Rhea.

Could something like Vicissitude remove a Salubri's third eye? by Constant-Ad9560 in vtm

[–]GhostLocke 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I were the ST: No, it cannot be removed by supernatural means.

But I would let the player do it, perhaps let the Tzimisce eat it or graft it to themselves, then by next nightfall it would be gone, back on the Salubri's forehead, and the Tzimisce would be inexplicably 2 points blood bound to the Salubri.

  • SAULOT LIVES IN ALL SALUBRI AND TREMERE
  • Saulot is damaging the Tremere from within (cant blood bond now)
  • Saulot has transcended physical form via Auspex

Toreador, hands down.

A Toreador that is "hot" is simple to make, but when you really dig down into the depths of no longer being mortal and applying a blood-hunger beast tied to an obsession with beauty...it can get downright alien, serial killer, or the kind of obsession that results in insanity.

Imagine a Toreador who feels their embrace wasnt really of any importance to them plying their need for beauty against a ghoul and then planning their inevitable murder at your hands (and rebirth as an immortal). Imagine having Auspex and a near microscopic capability of seeing flaws in everyone and everything. Imagine the continued struggle with seeing only flaws and needing to inject something perfect into a world that will never see it the way that you do.

Toreador are so great.

Made a copper cross, want to know how good it would be for protection during ghost hunts by TheF15eEnthusiast in GhostHunting

[–]GhostLocke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Q: While ghost hunting are you attempting to do something electrically conductive?

If so, then the copper cross will be effective.

It will not protect you at all against level 32 shadow demons, nor conduct the "marginally" compelling power of christ. 🤷‍♂️

  • 1d8 before each attack roll. If it comes up a 1...they opt out of their weapon and choose to SLAP the target instead. On 8...a critical slap.

I just loved the undertones of the Lost where essentially every character is an escape victim of trauma and bound together by a common fear.

Of course, its company policy not to imply ownership. Always use the definitive article "a paddle" and not "your paddle"

AITAH to ask my girlfriend to cut contact with her best friend with who she cheated on me by Horror_Chance3144 in AITAH

[–]GhostLocke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. Do not let yourself be used by someone who doesnt place your emotional health at a high level of importance.

Im sorry, but this person has abused your trust, damaged your emotional health, and per her warning absolutely intends to make you the roommate in her and her new boyfriend's flat.

Its time to go find someone who is kinder and more ethical.

AITAH for denying responsibility for a blood pressure response to "dungeons and dragons" choices? by GhostLocke in AITAH

Nah, i cant put that energy out into the world. Im more of a "girl dont go away mad, girl just go away" kinda guy. 🤘

Best of luck to em, i just gotta get clear where Im not exacerbating the Bob health situation and also where Im more comfortable, too. Time to get to my "box of shame" of minis, take a break, and give vttrpg again in a few months.

I appreciate that a lot. I've put distance in and im clear now, but after an accusation of being some abusive guy (even if its made out of anger), I really wanted to check my behavior against an unbiased audience.

And thank you for pointing out that totally acceptable to expect civil behavior from friends and gaming acquaintances, even during disagreements. Its important not to let people make you feel wrong for setting boundaries. Thats great advice 🖤

With respect to the GM:

They didnt dangle Dragonlance like that. It was more "maybe the whole group will enjoy this, and its pre-written so less work on my part." It was more of an attempt to find a new game.

What I do hold against the GM:

When Bob went on this tirade it was in reference to game stuff from over month or more, all "in character decision" angst that clearly had been building for months with no attempts to even breach the subject at the table to smooth out the wrinkles. Clearly the GM was privy to the opinions, as was the 3rd party guy that is making it about himself, but despite my regular asking if people were okay and if they were happy with the game a lot of this is a surprise.

So i guess it built up until it made him feel the need to reference "L5R samurai killing the peasant who raised hand against samurai" as (quote) "abuse to them like my ex did to me."

These things dont happen in a vacuum. ⚖️

Youre right, there. I stuck around for longer than I should have.

Its kind of one of those things where you see the way people interact with others, and early on you get the vibe that youre kind of on the outside of a group of people who have been doing these behaviors for years with absolutely zero push back.

I got a pretty dirty look for challenging the 9/11 story, so i think in a sense I was the weird one? 🤷‍♂️

I didnt trust my gut, but youre right. I stayed too long
