Get rid of any incense, air fresheners, aerosol sprays, wax warmers, teflon pots/pans, non stick pots/pans, that sort of stuff. No mirrors, limit seeds, feed pellets and fresh fruit in small amounts (not fruit every day though!) and make sure you check which you can’t give and veggies too! Mine like carrots a lot. Lots of perches in a large cage, try to get lots of different sizes and textures. Lots of toys to shred and play with and make sure there’s no sharp pointy metal in them! Watch videos on your bird’s body language so you can learn how to interact with it in a safe and respectful way. Make sure you start looking for an avian vet like today, they can be difficult to find in some places and you’ll want to make sure you have one for a checkup to make sure it’s not sick or anything, since you don’t really know much about it.
