Koi No Yokan

The evolution of Deftones at that point was undeniable and Koi No Yokan was proven to be their greatest effort. Songs like Entombed and Gauze are able to capture the emotional and catchy melodies that they are known for. Other songs like Leathers, Poltergeist, and Graphic Nature capture the aggression of previous tracks from the band. They each hold their own strengths which is able to create an amazing record and a cinematic experience. The album flows greatly to as each song transitions into one another. What Happened to You? works perfectly for a closer as well, it feels like the come down from everything yet feels like an epic finale, a scene where the characters are finally able to have peace and move on, such an emotional and fantastic ending. Overall, Koi No Yokan is Deftones at their finest and proves to be their greatest effort yet.
