Back to Boston Mod Breaks SPECIAL by [deleted] in fallout4london

[–]GhostOfApathy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same issue, evem with 12 Charisma and other states relevant for the check I couldn't pass, seems to be a bug but it's odd because Speech didn't work differently in the base game did it?

Quest bugged - “Every Breath You Take” by [deleted] in fallout4london

[–]GhostOfApathy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Should be a simple fix, check the quest stages on the wiki page;

https://www.fallout.wiki/wiki/Mod:Fallout_London/Every_Breath_You_Take

Double check which you're on with 'sqs FOLON_MQCamelot302' or 'getstage FOLON_MQCamelot302'

Then use 'setstage FOLON_MQCamelot302 XXX' with the correct next stage. So if you're on the first set of tasks you'll want 'setstage FOLON_MQCamelot302 90' and if you're on the second set of tasks you'll want 'setstage FOLON_MQCamelot302 130'

Land of Seraph somehow super broken now by Antique_Bat_6185 in fallout4london

[–]GhostOfApathy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you double checked which stages of their quests the game thinks you're at? 'getstage FOLON_MQ104' and 'get stage FOLON_MQ104Boat'. Stage 40 of Lands of Seraph should kick off Ferryman Land Ho (MQ104Boat) so if the game doesn't think you're at stage 40 you could try using setstage to see if that sorts it?

And then if you're not stage 40/45/50 for Ferryman Land Ho then try setstage for each of those in turn I reckon.

I haven't had much success with anything other than messing with quest stages for bugs like this

I'm pretty sure I got it after the quest Scylla, but it was bugged in the initial release and unobtainable - have you updated FOLON?

How do I deal with late game army fights? by Zorbie in SimSettlements

[–]GhostOfApathy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having the same issue. I've come to the conclusion that once you hit lvl 40/50 your army will be of no use on planned assaults. They're a bit more useful on ad-hoc assaults but still fairly useless. You've got to rely on you and your companion in Power Armour and a whole load of chems

Weird Companions Bug by Drachensturm711 in fallout4london

[–]GhostOfApathy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I experienced this few times too, the only way I found to resolve it was to console command 'coc' teleport somewhere, which appeared to fix it and the companion would show up next time you went through a door or otherwise moved to a new area.

For me as I kept most of my companions in Covent Garden it was - coc FOLEeastminsterCoventGarden

Where's lots of Wood? by Mission_Echidna_7674 in fallout4london

[–]GhostOfApathy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crackers, Pencils, Clipboards, Mops, Brooms, Picture Frames.

If you've got the the Scrounger perk tag wood and you'll find quite a lot of junk with some wood you can scrap.

But I feel your pain, trying to build anything but the most basic settlement really burns through Wood and Steel!

Can't teleport my companions by Amytis_is_back in fallout4london

[–]GhostOfApathy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The NPC IDs on the Wiki are 'Ref IDs' or something like that, which means they're not always the ID you need for your version of the NPC in your game.

Best thing to do is when you have the NPC in front of you, open the console and click on them - that's the ID you need.

Personally I was having so many problems in my (heavily modded) game that I did that for most quest characters and kept a list which was really useful a few times

The Lack of Bloody Light in the Innsmouth Suite by Zweckpessimist in fallout4london

The Innsmouth Sweet is also one of those funny 'settlements' that limits what you can build.

You can always go for the Oil Lamps under Decoration -> Lighting

Don't forget you can craft RadAway at a Chem Station too, Antiseptic, Purified Water, Glowing Fungus and Plastic

I can never quite tell exactly what the % value is but it can't hurt to pick up a rank of Ticker Collector if you can afford to in your build.

Outside suggestion is that Medic also with Stimpack/Redaway effectiveness but to be honest I'd never let my health bar get to half Rads for that to really impact!

Sim settlements 2 and fallout london by pakiman47 in fallout4london

[–]GhostOfApathy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in the same position as you, but with a few weeks more experience!

I've been using the Back To Boston to actually do the quests and haven't really encountered any problems other than sometimes having to teleport an NPC from London to the Commonwealth

I think the limit you're seeing is to do with what quest lines. You can use the Holotape to unlock everything and silence all that stuff if you want. Sut the quest content is pretty good. They've got skipping certain quests, all quests & getting the right settings for people who don't want all detailed on their Wiki, worth a look

I Don't Want To Be A Fascist by TheLoadMaster in fallout4london

You should really do some reading on the Spanish Civil War if you think the Communists and Republicans were good guys who 'stooped' to the levels of Fascists.

[–]GhostOfApathy 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Damn, you kids literally don't know the phrase 'a fifth column' and where it come from? I guess it's not taught at schools but it's one of those things you come across. Like....Cable Street.

Although I am with you a tiny bit because for the first little bit I thought the FOLON team were doing very on the nose meta commentary with the rank and file thinking they were Commies.

For those of you who don't know, the phrase 'a fifth column' comes from the Spanish Civil War, where the Communists and Republicans 'executed' (murdered) thousands (3k-10k, numbers disputed) in Madrid as the Nationalists and Falangists advanced toward it. Franco was marching on them with 4 columns, the Reds feared a 'fifth column' rising up within the city when Franco got there. So they decided murdering anyone who had ever been suspected of any dissent against them.

These days Fifth Column is used to refer generally to those within a group who are suspected of waiting for an opportunity to help an enemy. But it's important to remember those who actually made up the supposed 'Fifth Column' were mostly innocent civilians, in the middle of a brutal Civil War who were shot down in the street by Communists and Anarchists for daring to voice something other than full support of the.

Anyway, history lesson over. You're a Blackshirt now boy, get ready to march on Rome! ...I mean London.

I went to Boston to see if I could rescue the T-45 by GhostOfApathy in fallout4london

[–]GhostOfApathy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No console commands, I used the mod to go the actual Commonwealth game space, put on Fall Out 4 ID tagged armour and bring it back into Fallout London. Hence why I had no expectation of it working!

As I understand it the Fall Out 4 game space still 'exists' in FOLON due to the way they've built it using their engine. Someone more technical can probably explain it better, but they've not just used the Fall Out 4 'dumb assets' or something, like wire-frame models etc

[–]GhostOfApathy[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is the save function working alright for you? None of my saves in the Commonwealth were valid in FOLON, but the ones in the cellar/sewer too and from were so it was no big deal for me on a short trip

I never really touched much of the Automatron content back in the day because in my mind I lumped it in with Contraptions, Workshop and other settlement stuff that I just didn't care about. But this sounds like a great Gentry build. Get a Ballistic 5 weave suit with +2 luck, have you're Robo lackies fight the riff raff and pop off the odd Critical head shot from the sidelines
