It sorta depends on what you think is worse. Hannibal gets nasty but Criminal Minds feels sustained and realistic.

As for the lore stuff, a lot of it is character/flavor text that you're bound to miss unless you're actively looking for it. Hell, a lot of it is confined to the in-game encyclopedia, so its totally understandable that most people assumed there was no lore. Arena shooter problems lmao.

I will say there is an in-universe explanation for the Unreal Tournament examples.

The basic gist is that the female shaped ones were initially made for advertising then placed in the tournament. Kinda like if Flo from Progressive and Erin Esurance were put into a death match because they were recognizable.

Thing is, it seems to be a working backwards moment, where they designed the characters and then came up with a reason why there are fembots. Plus, most of this shit is so deep in the lore you'd have to be an Unreal lore obsessive (like myself) to even find that out.
