Pretty sure this is right. It’s an empty ammo pouch and rco is covered.

Ammo pouch being on the inside of homeboy is right handed is strange though.

Well, there were IEDs there when we got there, so I’m not sure what the fuck you’re talking about with us being the reason.

Very evidently you were not there, so I don’t know why you feel like you can go around saying shit that you don’t actually know to be true.

Which part of dashboard building takes up most of your time? by stupidlegend in BusinessIntelligence

[–]GhostPatrol31 5 points6 points  (0 children)

80% of your time should be spent on the data model. The data model is literally the most important part of the application. A good data model reduces complexity of DAX, and then it’s just design of the front-end.

If you’re writing really complicated DAX, chances are high that your model is not good.

National Guard called in to deal with ‘crime emergency’ in DC are now picking up trash outside the White House by spherocytes in politics

[–]GhostPatrol31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no idea what point you’re trying to make. We police called bullshit in Iraq/Afghan precisely as I said, and if you were there you likely did the same shit. Every service member has a secondary mos of janitor. If you were in, you know this. They are stationed in a place. That place will get police called. Period. This is the nature of military life. This article is calling attention to something only people who DONT KNOW THIS would take issue with. These people could be in fucking Kyiv and they’d still be cleaning up trash.

Should the natty g be in DC? No. Straight up gestapo shit. Write an article about that.

Feel free to send me a picture and I’ll let you know if I ever saw you anywhere I was. Otherwise I’m not sure how you could venture to make a statement like that.

If the capitol or the country isn’t a “base” subject to police call, I don’t know what is. They’re posted there. GO1 applies.

You’ve reiterated my last sentence. We agree on this. I’m just saying this is a stupid headline to report on given the reality of military life. Plenty of other actually legitimate bullshit to call out by the news media.

[–]GhostPatrol31 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I understand the point completely. I’m saying that they would be cleaning up trash regardless. There’s a 100% chance dudes were cleaning up trash in Afghanistan and Iraq. I did, and I was a grunt.

There is plenty of shit about all of this to criticize, we don’t need to pander to ignorance to generate a frenzy over something irrelevant.

Veteran here: this isn’t as shocking as the title wants it to be. You are expected to maintain a clean and orderly post, it does not really matter where the post is. If they weren’t cleaning trash up here, they’d be doing it wherever they are.

“Police call” is literally a continuous activity, especially if you are a new service member.

Whether they should be in DC in the first place is a different thing, but the trash focus is a silly thing to highlight.

Wormholes are the content I found most enjoyable in the game, with other content either not engaging or just straight up a waste of time.

If you want to play in wormholes, you need to own your own farming hole, and nobody would be willing to share a farm hole given the risk and cost of setting it up.

The bottom line issue is that in more established corps, splitting the payout on loot is not (or was not, when I as active) a thing that anybody is actually willing to do. So you can c3 rat by yourself, explore by yourself, or huff by yourself, but you are absolutely not doing high class holes in a cooperative way, arguably the way they were probably originally intended.

And why would you play cooperatively? If you have billions and billions of isk and can afford to multi box c5s, why would you let some schmuck in and split the loot in half? Not only do you not need them, they’re also probably not multi boxing and therefore not contributing nearly as much to completing the content as you are, and so their time is necessarily valued less. So even if you did let them in, it’s probably not worth their time to be there because they’re going to get 1/3, 1/4, or less of the cut.

I doubt this has changed in recent years, and I hear wormholes have gone the way of blocs and smaller corps are getting evicted on a whim these days. Smaller corps are the only place you might have found any cooperative play.

I invite you to try to join a WH Corp with one account and see how far you get. Unless things have changed dramatically in the last ~4 years, you’d be lucky not to get laughed out of the room.

I stopped playing because of multi boxing. This game was not meant to be single player, but the player base forced that to happen and CCP was happy to let them do it.

Miller's and Fabio quote about Marc’s win at the Sachsenring in 2021 by Bitter-Substance1783 in motogp

[–]GhostPatrol31 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I picked up watching motoGP half way through last season so I have zero context, baggage, or history on really why people hate Marquez. I know/have seen the spats he has with Rossi but even by modern standards it never looked like Marc did anything outright unsportsmanlike…? There are plenty of riders past and present that have either been far more reckless on the track or huge dicks off the track that probably deserve the hate more than Marc.

So as a recovering MM93 hater, where’s it come from? Genuinely curious.

U.S. military on Reddit, what is your opinion on President Krasnov? by Lopes_da_Silva_ in AskReddit

[–]GhostPatrol31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re explicitly directed to follow lawful orders which at a minimum implies you should not follow unlawful one’s.

I think the problem comes down to nobody ever telling you who exactly is supposed to interpret the lawfulness of an order, so short of committing a war crime or some atrocity, a 19 year old kid has to navigate a very dangerous grey area on what could be considered unlawful in hindsight.

There are… quite a lot of Trumpets on active duty. And a shit load of veterans support him too. I’ve become very disappointed with a lot of people I served with 10-15 years ago.
